Keep hearing City fans calling for 4-4-2 only one team in the prem started that formation yesterday.
So what would be our best formation.
I know we are not in the prem butt 4-4-2 seems to be the least used formation in football now even most other European teams have also done away with it.
4-4-2 Burnley
3-4-2-1 Southampton
3-4-1-2 man Utd
4-3-2-1 Newcastle, QPR, Palace, Liverpool
4-2-3-1 man city,Chelsea, Everton, Stoke, Leicester, Spurs,
4-5-1 West Brom
4-3-3 Arsenal
3-5-1-1 Villa
4-4-1-1 Hull
4-1-4-1 Sunderland
5-3-2 Hull
I think we should normally go 4-4-2 tbh it worked ok last year - however would like us just to go for it and play 4-3-3 against Chesterfield
to see what happens. Bearing in mind injuries/suspensions this is how I would line up.
Allsopp
Willis RB
Martin CB
Johnson CB (Webster if Reda unfit)
Haynes LB
JOB RM
Thomas CM (Legs playing defensive sitting role)
Swanson LM
Nouble RF (Pace to play off Madine)
Madine CF (Target Man)
Jackson LF (Pace to play off Madine)
Subs: Burge, Pennington, Finch, Fleck, McQuoid, G.Thomas, Webster/Johnson firness depending.
I think we have to go for it now and at least give our fans something to get excited about though realise we could get walloped.
At least we would have to give it a go using this formation.
