I certainly don't want to get to the Prem. Been there for 33 years, done it, got several T shirts. Why be 17th in the football hierarchy and be trounced regularly, when you could be 27th and win most weeks?Fucking hell lads - half of you don’t want to be in the premier league
Yes I was there too. Each one of our last day escapes produced more raw emotion than the whole of our period in the wilderness we find ourselves in. Give me the Premier any day than the dross I’ve been subjected to since our relegation from the Premier.I certainly don't want to get to the Prem. Yeah give me 17th over 6th in League two scraping a draw against Morecambe any day. It’s mad that some fans want a ceiling on usStill remember our wins over Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, etc. I’ll be honest none of the victories the last 20 years really come close. 17th wasn’t that bad.
That 2-1 at Tottenham is one of my fondest memories.Yes I was there too. I see what you are saying but going have to give a different view Broken Sky Blue. I've been to games since 1978. My greatest City experiences have been over the past 5 years - seeing the Club rise from the dead (League 2) and back to competing strongly in the Champ. Playing some of the most attractive football as well. The connection between the team and the fans has never been better - I'm very proud of our fans who stuck with the club all the way down to L2. Loving the turnaround this season as well.Yes I was there too. Each one of our last day escapes produced more raw emotion than the whole of our period in the wilderness we find ourselves in. HDW I get what you are saying but the Prem is a multiple billionaire's playground now vs. when we were there before (and it was unequal enough then). Not sure I want to turn up to watch us get smashed by Man City - all for the promotion of the Man City brand across the globe. It's soulless. I'm happy to be competing in the champ for now (before we have our own billionaire owner!).Yeah give me 17th over 6th in League two scraping a draw against Morecambe any day. How can you compare 78 the most successful league season in the top flight to the turgid shite over the last 20 years
Russel Slade may be unforgettable, but amazing...?with many amazing and unforgettable memories on the way back to L2.
Our most successful season was 1977 78

I'm referring to the last 5 years since the return of MR Northern - got it?Russel Slade may be unforgettable, but amazing...?

I was 15, loved those days at Highfield RoadI was 7, I got my dad to let me stay up late to watch it on MOTD
Hate to say you’re wrong, but in 1969/70 we came 6th. One place better. Our most successful season was 1977 78
Exactly. Who wouldn't want success for their club?Mental. I want to get promoted to the premier league then I’ll want us to get into Europa and then if by some miracle that happened I’d want champions league then the title
I’d take getting smashed by Man City over mid table championship obscurity to be honest. The premier league days were my favourite time as a fan.
