That's a good point. Think we went through this last year because the same could've happened and from what I remember all points won off them from every team would be taken away from that team. I think?
Better make sure we beat ten then!
My guess would be that half the fans that pledged were Saints fans trying to stick them up good & proper...so they're never going to cough up the money to buy anyhow. It's all very sad really.

You are correct as far as I remember. The ruling is, I believe, that if a team is liquidated during a season, all results of that team are expunged, meaning anybody who has picked up any points against them loses them. The club effectively falls out of existence.
So either way, we won't gain or lose. Say we are 2nd, 3 points behind 1st. Then the team whose 1st gets 3 points taken away, but we wouldn't, so it doesn't matter if we win lose or draw surely?
I believe they don't get anything. The ruling only applies to teams who would have picked up any points from them in the league, not sure how it would work in any cups but I would guess any team who lost against them would receive a bye. (I may stand to be corrected on this)
Any team who they (Pompey) have already played and beaten in the league would see no benefit in terms of points. That's what I recall the official line being from last season, I may be corrected on this, but that sounds logical to me.
Not true.....They are in court over the value of the ground. The fans value it and wish to buy at 2.5 m, the owner values it much higher, if he wins the buyout can not happen. Pompey fold!!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is how I understand it:
If a club is liquidated during a season, then it ceases to exist and cannot complete its fixtures. Therefore all league results will be expunged, including goals for and against as well as any points gained. So even if you'd lost twice to the liquidated club, then your goal difference would improve.
If the liquidated club is still in any cup competition, the last team they knocked out could be reinstated, or their next opponents given a 'bye'.
