What the hell was Boris on about in that interview?
He sounds like Roly Berkin.
Great analogy by the way. Boris always reminds me of Rocky Berkin in the same way Vince Cable reminds me of Barrowclough from Porridge.
It does seem a bit "a moving target is harder to hit" - keep the cycle going so no-one can focus on any one thing. Trouble is he seems to have got mired in this domestic argument a bit. He needs a new distraction.
I also see in an interview Hunt has said the next PM needs to be 'trustworthy' and 'personality' is key to getting Brexit done. I don't think there's many people at all that consider Hunt trustworthy (maybe more so than Boris but in the same way I'd rather be put in an enclosure with a lion than a tiger) and if he thinks personality is key then he's lost - if there's one thing Boris has it's charisma and personality. Hunt is another faceless guy in a suit.
Are the two remaining contenders now trying to talk themselves out of the job because they've suddenly realised just how nigh on impossible delivering Brexit will be?
This is a good point, the Tories in particular are putting the party about the country, and have been for some time.A traitor to who, his party or his country
And the DUP arent gonna back anything that puts the good Friday agreement in jeopardy. It only needs 4 doesn’t it? I think the government has a majority in the commons of 4 with the DUP agreement.

Got to be honest, Hunt came across really really well on Twitter last night. Funny, self depreciating, understandable.
He’s still a horrible c**t who tried to destroy the NHS, but the other guy is Boris soo...
When I heard him on a Q&A on LBC I thought he came across pretty well as well
Ps ‘tried to destroy the NHS’ is a bit strong. I actually thought the junior doctors stand off (which was seen as his major issue/fuck up during his time as health secretary) was an attempt to improve the nhs service for the public ie deliver a proper seven day service. He also secured a massive increase in funding for the NHS before leaving the role. If you’d made the comment about Grayling I probably would’ve agreed with you....useless !
He was lobbying for private health care firms. In his time at the NHS he was q disaster.
He did better as foreign secretary but succeeding boris is a bit like a manager following Russell Slade, not being seen as an improvement is also impossible.
His vision on the NHS was not unreasonable - the NHS is not sustainable without private intervention or massive revenue generation through increased taxation on a scale most people do not want
He and his party intentionally underfunded the NHS to try and speed up the ‘breaking off’ of services to private investors. His vision on the NHS was not unreasonable - the NHS is not sustainable without private intervention or massive revenue generation through increased taxation on a scale most people do not want
There is plenty that can be done to improve the NHS in its current t format.
Spending the budget it has more wisely, a management restructure and collecting all money it's owed for treating foreign patients are all ideas I've heard from surgeons and consultants that seen sensible.
An American style system is an appalling idea.
He did propose an American style system.
There were calls for a judicial 'review against his against his proposals.
So that’s getting through parliament is it? So if labour win power Simm Fein will join parliament as Jeremy Corbyn is their friend?
That’s fucking tenuous... even for you.
Not as tenuous to suggest Jeremy Hunt will force a US style health system in the UK
After all Corbyn and McDonnell have said they would like Britain to be modelled on the Chavez dictatorship - I can’t see that happening either - can you?
So there is a direct quote of those two saying that? Or just some paraphrasing?
Hunt may not force it you are right, but he would certainly facilitate it, and did so during his tenure as health secretary.

Oh dear. I’ll take this reply as an acknowledgement from yourself that you were wrong when you claimed that he’d never suggested an America style health system.
Nice anyway to see Mr Corbyns friend is back in the fold
'Disgusting': Labour fury over return of Chris Williamson
The issue over anti-Semitism is incredibly complex - even the Jewish members are split on whether he should be re-instated or not.
I think there needs to a properly independent organisation to investigate all claims of racism across ALL parties.
He hasn’t even your link shows no evidence he did and admits as such
what makes me laugh is that every negative comment about George Soros on these forums is anti Semitic going on the IHRA guidelines. Most of them made by the same people who accuse Corbyn of being anti-Semitic based on the IHRAguidelines.

Jess Phillips is far from happy
Try this We’ve found Jeremy Hunt’s book – and yes, he does want to Privatise the NHS. there’s even a link to a pdf version of the book so you can read it for yourself and see how wrong you are.
I am not wrong, this is not knew news and it is not an attempt to even privatise the NHS anyway is it?
Also it was done as a discussion document 14 years ago. If we look back in history and assume opinions have not changed then Mr Corbyn and Mr McDonnell want us to have a hard brexit
I’ve said numerous times anyway the proposals outlined in documents such as this should be debated - there are a lot of good points in it
