If hospitalisations and deaths (particularly among the vaccinated) increase drastically and is at crisis levels. There would then be a case for further restrictions.

You could make an argument for a pause over Xmas. Given the stories in the paper clubs that expect a bumper Boxing Day or New Year crowd might not see that anyway. We will be more disadvantaged than most if behind closed doors games come back into play. Having crowds back has increased the tempo at games, which suits our pressing game and I would expect us to slide back into mid table if no fans can attend games.
I suspect the minimum will be behind closed doors for a period of time. A pain but easy to manage and save any chance of season being cancelled.
