What to expect from Sheffield United (2 Viewers)

After watching Sheffield united against reading last weekend there's a few things I picked up on

1) In George Long they've got a talented but inexperienced keeper who tended to flap at crosses and not command his penalty area

2) They have a very slow defence, especially their centre halves Maguire and Higgingbotham are slow on the turn and if we keep the ball on the deck they will find it hard

3) Tony McMahon is a bit of a free-kick specialist

4) They play 4-4-2 and try to utilise the wings with a lot of Balls coming in to the box from wide, more Boothroyd style than Robins

5) Nick Blackman was their best player last week probably why reading bought him, he made things tick and was the only real pace in their team

I'm confident we can come away with they win tonight or at least a point. Oh and Michael Doyle is still bang average

Gosh that is a surprise that he has made massive improvement at this late stage in his career!:p

Doyle ran the midfield in the home league game and made a quality pass from his own 6 yard box that set them on their way to score.

Didnt do so much in the jpt game though.

I remember thinking Doyle did OK but I thought Stephen Quinn ran it for them that night. He's gone now as well hasn't he?

Have you advised Robins of what you found out?

Out of their new signings I heard Robson's suspended from too many yellow cards when he was at Boro and forte is injured?

I remember Quinn being their only player of real quality and as you say he's no longer there. That day we were poor for the majority and turned it on for 20 minutes and scored two goals..if you include Kevin Malaga's header which clearly went about a yard over the line. Generally wasn't all that impressed by them, and really fancy us for all three points tonight!

"We all know Wilson will persist with Doyle as long as there's a hole in his arse!"

Beautiful stuff.

"Doyle is the problem IMHO, he seems to be hated by everyone and brings nowt nut negativity and aggression to the team. Someone at the club needs to chin the little **** and bring him down a peg "

That didn't work when he was here... why would it now?
