But why was he sent on gardening leave?
Was the departure related to SISU/CCFC or some other reason?
I believe he also turned up in court during the JR.
What is he doing now?
Underneath that article i spotted this...I would suggest this is not her best picNikki Sinclair is in Siberia as well, http://www.birminghammail.co.uk/news/midlands-news/former-mep-nikki-sinclaire-gets-7571930
I would imagine he didn't lose enough impartiality! He thought C stood for Coventry and not Council.
He has quite a reasonable resume so I don't know why he worked for them anyway.

To be fair to Grendull, Les does have 4285 followers on Twitter whereas the Simon Gilbert (or the tea boy as Grendull likes to refer to him as) only has 5745. Also no mention of CCFC's return home from what I can see on Les' twitter page?
That settles it then. at least if you google Reid it recognises him unlike Gilbert or Alan "scoop" Poole. Also many of his political articles for the guardian are well thought of. Still twitter is more important.
I don't get Schmeee and his vendetta as most local politicians were very supportive of Reid when the CET were trying to make him redundant - mutton in particular.
That seals it then we all know what you think about OUR local Politicians?

Fair enough. Let's compare him to another Guardian writer then. David Conn has 79, 300 followers. Oh wait that doesn't help your argument either, especially as his take was such a polar opposite to Mr Reid that the people with the smoking gun (or lack thereof) threatened him with legal action unless, IIRC the article was taken down or corrected. As none of those actions happened from either party I guess it was Mr Conn who had the inside track on what had really happened which was then confirmed by the JR result.
How many followers does Joe Essex have?
Is Joe Essex a journalists? I thought we were talking about journalists? Only (strangely) you seem to want to change the subject onto "reality TV stars". Let's stay on topic and compare horses with horses.
How many followers does Joe Essex have?
So people with larger followers in twitter are the measurement in any profession are they regarding honesty and excellence?

:claping hands:So you're comparing Conn and Reid using at least one of those virtues?
So you're saying David Conn misunderstood what was happening with our club and our home ground while Les Reid hit the nail on the head and this is confirmed because David Conn is much nearer to Joey Essex with number of Twitter followers than Les Reid. Someone call SISU's legal team quick. Grendulls found the smoking gun. Lolling all over the place.
So you're comparing Conn and Reid using at least one of those virtues?
I am not comparing anything. Personally I would look at awards given to individuals in their chosen field as a measure of performance. Conn beats Reid. - Reid beats Gilbert and Poole.
I love how i am accused of swerving debates. You have decided twitter is the way to judge excellence in a chosen field - that is your baramoter.
So let's look at politics. Which politician is the 5th most influential and successful in the world according to you?
No Tony is
No the subject is twitter and followers in a professionChanging the subject again
Err no. You were. I was using Twitter, remember, that's my barometer.

The 5th best politician in the world (according to Tony) is now leaving the building;
Hasta La Vista Baby

Ha ha, according to me. Make it up as you go along. Is Arnie still in politics? I thought he left office a years ago? And are you seriously suggesting that he has that many followers because of his political career rather than his considerably more successful acting career. What next, Barack Obama has 45m followers on his twitter page because he's a qualified lawyer and nothing to do with him being the first black president of America. Lol
Which was exactly my point all along you clown.
Name calling now. Very mature.
What was your point again? Other than to keep changing the subject.
Tony I'm sure you think you are being clever but you are just digging a hole.
I am not changing any subject. I was merely pointing out that one should judge journalistic success by other factors than twitter followers - namely the amount of awards they have received in their chosen profession. This is because other factors are at play which would encourage people to follow them. Gilbert's followers are not following him to recommend him for the Pulitzer Prize but because he is the one journalistic source for news for CCFC
As I say this is becoming tiresome.
I was merely pointing out that it's reasonable to assume that an award winning, apparently respected, well connected journalist who writes for national newspaper The Guardian and I believe sometimes Private Eye would easily have more Twitter followers than the tea boy (your words not mine) of a local rag in the UK's 13th largest city.
At which point you started suggesting that Arnie is still a politician.
Les Reid has written articles for the Guardian and Private Eye and had won awards for political journalism - is that the barometer of a good journalist? I assume twitter followers can stop following? I'm sure many have.
