My dad had one of those as a wheelchair conversion, as it meant he could be a front-seat passenger after loading from the rear. So i had some happy times with it. But yeah ... bitch to drive and ugly as sin!
My dream is an Austin-Healey 3000 Mk3, 1964-ish, like this one.
Drove one for a day and loved it. Will never have one unless i win the lottery as they retail for about 50 thou!
My retirement project in a couple of years will be an MGB Roadster, like @RedSalmon - cheap to get a decent one, easy to restore and any part you need is available after-market.
928 a very smart,my boss had one and the tailgate flipped up at 150 mph down the m45.
Got pulled a few times as it was an ex car involved in drug running apparently.
Which he himself got locked up for in Spain ( gran canaria) after retiring there and buying a bar there, then got done for supplying coke!!
