What his leg? There is an alternative low point. Worst conditions. Only one contender for me. Possibly January. Absolutely freezing cold. Pissing down with rain. Stood in the open on the Spion Kop with roughly 7 others watching a Simod Cup tie. Possibly v Ipswich. Definitely the game Lloyd McGrath broke his leg. Took about 3 days to thaw out.
I'd say 'at least you didn't live in Worcester at the time' but literally no one there supports Worcester.Losing at home to Worcester in the cup was fucking awful too.
Team that day..

This is the game that most springs to mind when I referred to bad days in the premier league. Its very rare that I think I could do a better job than premier league footballers but that day I could have got a run out in pretty much any position.Yeah that home defeat to Everton in January 2001 I think was point where it felt like we were really nailed on to go down
ITK who knows nothing anymore having to send for people for likes now, what a fall from grace

Another was Tony Mowbray’s first game in charge at Barnsley on a fucking cold night.
We all thought it was the dawning of a new era and that he was our saviour.
Cue another fucking insipid performance as we lost woefully and players getting rightful dogs abuse as they had to walk past the away supporters and down the tunnel.

No I’m not a groomerShag me
My darkest day was when @BlueSkiesForever decided to post war and peace length posts everyday about how we need to spend 2-3m on back up right backs
Think we managed to do something similar away at Blackpool the very same season. Depressing as fuck.I remember feeling very disillusioned early in our championship relegation season under Andy Thorn. We were 1-0 up after 92 minutes at Crystal Palace and managed to lose the game 2-1. It was only the 3rd/ 4th game of the season i think, but even at the point i knew we were going down.
Nothing will ever top the Mark Venus/ Russell Slade era though. It felt like there was absolutely no light at the end of the tunnel.
When David O'Day joined Skybluestalk
Came here to say the same day as this. Awful team, awful football. Lost Wilson that summer to Bournemouth and the team was filled with their cast offs. Absolute dirgeLosing at home to Worcester in the cup was fucking awful too.

That Sheff U game at the Ricoh. Venus in charge, team full of loans who didn't give a sh*t, pitch protest which only brought negative publicity. Knew then we were down.

I remember a 2-2 draw at a midweek fixture vs cardiff, which I think was that season. We were 2-0 down and somehow got 2 goals.I remember feeling very disillusioned early in our championship relegation season under Andy Thorn. It left a bad taste in the mouth?Reda Johnson having the wrong colour piss was a particularly bad time for the club.
As I said before - anyone who enjoyed that season is lying to themselves. Notts county away in the play offs and the final were the best parts about it.FGR away in the league was a massive low too. Fans arguing so much. Racist/homophobic chants.
Thank fuck it’s over.
I was horrible, I just choose to remember the play offs though. Was like a spring board for the club.As I said before - anyone who enjoyed that season is lying to themselves. Notts county away in the play offs and the final were the best parts about it.
league two was a dark stain on this club
That's a good way of seeing life ,I fractured my leg on April 1 st and then found out 2 weeks ago I have malignant tumour in my kidney, but that's life . I can't complain, when I think of the young Sky Blues fan killed in the hit and run,I feel luckyWhen I divorced my first wife and 3 months later her uncle ( ex MP ) died and left her £1.5 Millionbut that’s life , I’ve got what I’ve got and no complaints
I had some good times just because I was with friends and family but the general vibe was awful. As I said before - anyone who enjoyed that season is lying to themselves. Notts county away in the play offs and the final were the best parts about it.

It put everything into perspective, life is so short and we all bleed the same blood ( unless you’re from Leicester) . But seriously life has been tough , for more than most xThat's a good way of seeing life ,I fractured my leg on April 1 st and then found out 2 weeks ago I have malignant tumour in my kidney, but that's life . Good job they didn't have VAR for the 2 Notts County play off games lol.I had some good times just because I was with friends and family but the general vibe was awful.
I'm grateful for the time I've had , plus they found this at an early stage but whatever happens I'm thankful for what I've had in life.
