When do you think we'll have our new manager by?

I think we'll have a new manager before the Crewe game but his first game will be Burton.

I think they have an idea who they want or else they wouldn't have sacked him so early.

Remember when we got AB, announced we agreed compensation for him and the next day he was our new-to-be unsuccessful manager! These things can be done quite quickly!

The new managed needs to be in place ASAP. The transfer window closes on Friday and they need to be able to look at the current squad and add to it if they feel it's needed.

If Wise is our next manager I'll see it as a massive positive.

I reckon by Wednesday Night. Just a hunch, still some budget left to get new players in. He'll be briefed by Waggot and Shaw/Carsley as to where the major holes are....i.e. no pace, so he might have a chance to snap someone up.

Failing that there's always the loan window to exploit.

the new manager will be appointed after the transfer window shuts so SISU don't have to give him any money to spend (until January) (cough*)

I posted something from the rumour site.

Supposedly they've given Shaw and Carsley the go ahead to strengthen the team before the cut off point and will allow the new Manager to bring in some loan signings where he sees fit so we could be on about 15 or so signings by next week lol (9 Thorn, 2/3 Shaw,Carsley & 2/3 new manager lol). They've apparantly got two lined up already and one may sign tomorrow. Here's the ones they mentioned:

Zoumana Bakayogo is a French-born Ivorian left back who plays for Tranmere Rovers at the moment (possibly signing a 2 year deal tomorrow if its true)

Charlie Lee is an English footballer, who can play either as a defender or as a holding midfielder who plays for Gillingham at the moment (sitting down for talks with Shaw and Carsley tomorrow)

And they could bring some more in before the new manager is installed.

If true what a waste of signings.

Knowing SISU Thorn has been sacked for asking for another player and the new man will be deliberately appointed after the window closes.

I also doubt anyone will be brought in before the end of the window. It is only a week away after all.

Has to be quick, getting the new man in before the window closing seems the most logical reason for giving him the boot after 3 games.

How is it waste?

We need cover at left back.

And another holding midfielder/defender just incase Jennings can't play. I for one don't want to see Daniels back in that position. Too raw to be starting for the team let alone in a position he's not used too. Same goes for Brown.

Of course i could take your comment to mean that you have knowledge of these players and do not believe them good enough for this level???

I think the squad is good enough as it is. The only thing I would add is someone with blistering pace.

Yep phone charger is a must...

Let see if these rumoured signings happen. Yeh they could wait for the new manager to come in or they could get more in now, make sure the side is very strong and has back up in all positions and then make a push.

If they lose tomorrow i wont be too bothered. It's the league im interested in. But if they win...well that shows a sign of intent.

I feel players performances will be a lot better now Thorn has gone.

With the tension gone from the dressing room they might feel a little more relaxed.

And im pretty sure they respect Shaw and Carsley. Both men look like they can make this team play and wont suffer any fools or premadonnas!

anyone going to the game tomorrow keep an eye on the directors' box, players lounge etc to see if any unemployed managers are watching us play and taking notes. its normally a big give away PUSB

How long after the closure of the transfer window does the emergency window open? We've brought players in then
Wit a view to a permanent deal in the next window.
