Yeah, back to Scotland. I don't wish him any ill. I liked the bloke. Obviously loved CCFC, but just didn't cut it for whatever reason. Hope he does well.
Its a shame it all turned to shit for him, he seems to be passionate about the club. When it comes down to it, it is about results, no matter what shitty owners you have or bad cards you are dealt.
Plus you can`t generate respect pissing on your players and then bring them back into the fold, you end up looking like a fool.
Wish him well.

I'd guess he will get a coaching job at a high-ish club in Scotland. Hearts maybe. I don't think he will fancy another managers job straight away

He will get a decent job in the English leagues as he was well thought of only a short time by many CCFC fans including people on here- many teams were interested in his services and the club gave him a 4 year contract - - He should have gone when all his first team squad went but maybe foolishly showed loyalty which tarnished his reputation - watch this space

He was lucky to have inherited some good youngsters when he came in & was forced to give them their chance. But his ability to bring in the right players has proved too much for him. I liked him & his straight talking. After a while his predictable after match comments became a joke. Good luck to him I say.

This must be a world first!!! RFC disagreeing with one of the clubs decisions /statements... If he was going to manage in the premier they would have kept him surely!! After all the stadium is due to complete in a year, SISU will win the court case and we will have the pie money..happy days! HELP!!!!

Due to him being settled in the area i think he will go to nuneaton boro, we can then loan him our young players and they will get a guaranteed game every week

He was in Leicester yesterday watching Coventry under 9's and I for one applaud his commitment. Honest guy and a real trier. Can't manage this lot with the people he was working with.

Fair play to him for that. If you think we've had the likes of Reid who went absent a couple of times...
Ah well, maybe he's unlucky enough to have got the gig at the wrong time for him. Shame, really, as his time as a player was his career low-point, too!

I hope that in due course he turns up elsewhere and does well for himself. He seems like an honest, hard-working chap, who tried his best. I think he has had to work under tough conditions, but also that he hasn't done himself any favours at times.
I'm not too sad to see him go, but imho the position we find ourselves in isn't solely down to SP - the owners and some of the players might want to consider their performance too...

Totally agree with this Torch. Just got in from work to catch up on the days goings on and it's the right decision but credit to the bloke for the passion he showed. It's just strange how our time in Northampton coincided with some great football...no one (from what I can remember) questioned his management or tactics during that period. The club selling our better players didn't help but he did make some strange decisions.
Anyway, good luck to SP...with better bosses I wish him well.
