In fact Fleetwood could have a big impact, they play,Over the next 2 games Fleetwood play Sunderland and Portsmouth
If they lose both our top 6 position would look even more likely
Ideally we would want them to pick up points though as I think these are our 2 biggest rivals for top 2 after Rotherham
Did the job for us yesterday so hope they carry on
Hopefully not, but it's been steadily improving over the past few weeks. Long may it continue. We'll win it on points alone, anyway.goal difference - the difference at the death
Or league oneI was listening to 5 live before going into the game yesterday. They had an interview with the Rotherham chairman mainly talking about Paul Warne. He sounds like a good, innovative manager. When that finished they had a general chat about the League One promotion chase with the presenter and pundits in the studio (can’t remember who they were). The general gist was that it was going to be a tremendous battle with Rotherham, Peterborough and Portsmouth all in there fighting. The general feeling was that Peterborough were the favourites, Ivan Toney being talked up. Can’t remember if Sunderland were mentioned much. We were but it was sort of as a sideline I felt, not really considered automatic contenders. Ipswich were a surprise as they had tailed off so much.
I was quite surprised that we were dismissed/ not really considered, so easily. I did wonder if they had looked at recent stats and seen how well we are doing. It did make Peterborough’s defeat all the sweeter later on.
A Portsmouth fan phoned 6-0-6 on the way home to say how well they were doing (no real other point to his call) although he did say the defeat on Tuesday was hard to take. Clinton Morrison (surely they must have better pundits) agreed with him, felt Portsmouth have a great chance but was surprised at some of the teams like Wycombe and Coventry that you wouldn’t expect to be up there!
If we hadn’t challenged this season I would have been disappointed after last year. Not sure how much Clinton studies League Two!
He probably doesn’t know much about either! Well spotted!Or league one
Can't see how Peterborough are favourites given their current position and that the teams above and below them have games on hand on them, and as many as three in our case.I was listening to 5 live before going into the game yesterday. That's just Scandinavian thinking though.I said before the start of the season we will Finnish in the automatic positions and I don’t see any reason to change my mind.
Portsmouth have FA cup/ FL Trophy Semi and maybe a final
Still to play
Fleetwood x 2
Peterboro Away
Ipswich Away
Rotherham Away
That is 5 games where they would be pleased with 8 points
I think they will crash
In my opinion it is Sunderland . Rotherham and ourselves
That is why the next 2 home games are massive
I agree. Sunderland are the team coming into form now.
Too early, they’ve got 3 wins on the bounce against teams who are out of form - similar to us, but we got a huge win v Pompey. Who beat Sunderland 2-0.
Right now, we’re the form team with 26 points from 30 available
That's just Scandinavian thinking though.

Looks like their defence will be disrupted over rest of season - bit of a blow for themI agree. Sunderland are the team coming into form now.
Yeah, shame thatLooks like their defence will be disrupted over rest of season - bit of a blow for them
Bailey Wright: Sunderland defender ruled out for at least two months
