Why's it madness? Some of the madness posts on here are so desperate to try and get away from Robins being at fault.
It will be the chef at Ryton next not giving them enough energy in their meals.
Why's it madness?
Lawrence,Vivash dispensed, worth mentioning that I think,MR's next for the chopping block, there's nothing desperate about that, Just observed decline!
It's clear it's over, pay the compo! It's madness how people will try and pick everybody else out bar MR for being at fault.
"Yeah but did she even notice the goalkeeper was timid"
Or people are just pointing out that she has fuck all to do with the tactics or some of that nonsense.
Robins is getting the blame for things under his control, what is happening on the pitch, the system not working.
If this failure is down to the coaches, what exactly is Robins job?

I've criticised Robins, but you won't have a word said against anyone else other than him.
It's strange given the success he's brought us that you want him to shoulder all the blame.
Why not just fuck all these other chancers off if theyre not responsible for anything?
I'm pointing out the issues on the pitch are his remit. He picks the team, he decides on the tactics and the style of play. He decides what subs to make and when. He's the manager.
Plenty has changed, Robins himself said the other day that games are now like games of chess when it comes to Tactics...Not arguing with that.
But there's two ways of looking at it, we've been here before give him time.
Or things are worse than ever, what's changed, if its the latter it's crazy not to question the new coaching structure.

Yep coaching
The type of players he's dealing with and the money that's being thrown about
The expectation on him
The types of managers coming through
None of that justifies calling for his head after 7 days.
I appreciate you weren't doing that.
It hasn't been 7 days. That's the point.
Yeah same thingThat was meant to say games.
Yeah same thing
There were massive mitigating circumstances to those seasons though. First - wasps SISu Ricoh debacle, second ripped up training ground/new squadOnly if we're using the conflating two seasons method, which I refuse to!
If anyone one tagged on the end of 22-23 to the start of 23-24 when we were shit I'll give them a pass on it!
I do feel very worried about this season, I doubt the recruitment team will be here in January, I wouldn’t be surprised if Doug is already looking. Not arguing with that.

It’s concerning to hear Robins is asking for more time again, the majority of players were here last season. I know there’s new additions, but when was the last time we had a player signed that hit the ground running? I believe we’ll need a significant more amount of points to survive this season, the teams that have come up are a lot stronger than previous years.
If you look at the signings from last season and start of this season, there’s maybe a couple of players you could say were a good buy.
I think the another frustrating thing is we don’t want to repeat this again next season if we’re in the championship, we’ve supposedly strengthened, yet it’s like Groundhog Day every season with the slow starts. I believe the recruitment team and robins have the share of blame for recruiting the players, it’s gone horribly wrong. Not many teams in the championship get 45 mill to spend, which is why it needs spending wisely for a club like ours.
We might get one more shot at spending some big money, a few million from the sell on clause for Gyok. MVE transfer fee end of the season, Sheaf transfer fee, maybe 5 million for wright if we’re lucky. Out of interest, would you be happy with the recruitment team and robins managing this? I wouldn’t

I’d be interested to know what teams get that sort of money?Couple of points, firstly, over 2 seasons, plenty of teams get in the region of 45 million to spend.
Secondly, who exactly would be using any future windfalls to recruit? When you say recruitment team, who are you referring to?
I’d be interested to know what teams get that sort of money?
Im referring to the person in charge that’s doing our recruitment at the moment.
Plenty of teams get similar sums to us.
Look on any transfer site, most have us down as around 7th highest spenders for both this season and last. So clearly, while spending the sort of money we're unaccustomed to, it's not a excessive figure for this league
It's also a very dubious metric, if we'd spent 5 million but kept Hamer, Vik and O'Hare we'd be better off wouldn't we?
And who is the person doing our recruitment? Or who do you think it is?
And who is the person doing our recruitment? Or who do you think it is?
Dean Austin - Robins' mate.
Yeah we would have a shallow squad otherwise! We’ve spent £45m but we’ve had to replace Gyokeres, Hamer, O’Hare, Kelly, Godden plus others on the fringe. Quoting money spent in isolation is just ridiculous. It’s just part of the team turnover and the natural evolution of ins and outs.
Doesn’t even make sense, why are you going on about hamer, gyokeres, ohare?Sorry you're struggling with quite simple arguments.
Still, at least you've mastered uploading a gif, small steps
Doesn’t even make sense, why are you going on about hamer, gyokeres, ohare?
You’re contradicting yourself on your first paragraph, you say we’re the 7th biggest spenders, great, but we’re 21st in the table, which is what I’m saying, that we’ve spent 45 million and we’re underperforming.
It's bandied about all the time!Again, it's not my fault you're having difficulty understanding my point about the players that have left.
And I'm not contradicting myself because I never said we weren't underachieving, just that we haven't spent 45 mil this season, which we haven't.
Where did you get that figure from?
You’re on about keeping players that wanted to leave, I’ve got no idea why you’re bringing those 3 players up.Again, it's not my fault you're having difficulty understanding my point about the players that have left.

But we’re still 7th for spending over the 2 seasons, so you basically agree with what I’m saying.
Hamer, Gyokeres and Ohare wouldn’t be here as their contracts would have ended by now?Because if we'd kept those players we could have spent a fraction of what we had and still beca better team.
Which just proves that transfer spend isn't a great metric for judging where you should be when taken in isolation.
Hamer, Gyokeres and Ohare wouldn’t be here as their contracts would have ended by now?
I was just confirming. You've really got it in for Robins.
You're really not heping the debate by wilfully ignoring the straightforward argument being put to you. Very tiresome.Hamer, Gyokeres and Ohare wouldn’t be here as their contracts would have ended by now?
Repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth. It's bandied about all the time!
