Ramage is just a mystery and a definite no. Johnson just not fit enough to be paid his wages. Tudgay has had flashes but after 8 goals in 2 seasons and at 33, I'd take my chances elsewhere. Lorentzon doesn't exactly demand another contract either.

If my suggestions were followed, we'd currently have a squad of 10 players contracted for next season: Burge, RCC, Haynes, Phillips, Martin, Stokes, Willis, Rose, Vincelot, Lamerias. That's one area where we need to be better i.e. having a solid spine of the team on logner deals, for continuity and team building purposes. Only a couple of those contracted for next season could really be called "spine of the team, key players."

Johnson is a big YES in my opinion...I know he's injury prone but........................

Stokes is a no brainer. Strong candidate for player of the season in my opinion. He's relaible and consistent. Agree with most people's assessments. Squad/starting 11 for next season.

Seem to be short in midfield and attack but not an entirely lost cause like some people are panicking about.

Just to add. Not sure of any other youth players who could possibly step up just named the ones I believe could or might have a chance.

I'd be happy enough keeping the following, with Johnson being some kind of contract where he only gets paid if his legs work.

Lorentzon - not fussed, probably keep
Cole - keep if we can do the right deal
Phillips - keep as cover assuming he's cheap
Ricketts - go
Tudgay - keep so long as he's actually going to play
Martin - keep
Ramage - go
MAF - go
Hunt - go
Henderson - go
Finch - keep, again assume he's cheap

To be honest though Stokes is probably the only one I'd be annoyed about if he left. There's going to be a hell of a lot of work to do in the summer.

I said months ago that I thought Cole was being lined up as a coach after this season.

Can nt believe some are saying no to Fleck.
He may well leave of his own choice but you ve got to try and keep him surely.

He has gone back to future and has been dire of late. His work rate is high (it always has been really) but his contribution has again fizzled out.

I say no to Fleck.

How many MOTM performances had he actually put in the last couple of years.

Watch him closely and just about every game he disappears. He can be brilliant one half and invisible the next.

I rate the guy, but his inconsistencies hurt us badly. You never know what you are going to get with him.

You watch Stokes, Vincelot and Armstrong and you get consistency game to game and only the occasional below par effort.

With Fleck it is hot and cold and you never know from one game to the next.

When Walsall were here that Sawyers of theirs controlled the game throughout and was excellent.

When was the last time Fleck did that? He can be like Zidane for 45-60 mins, but then he vanishes from the game.

I just feel we need someone with a better level of consistency.

9 new players. Say 5/6 signings and 3/4 loans, that's doable. Less if some of the kids can step up.

Stokes - absolute must.
Johnson - no. Had two injury prone seasons after historically doing the same at other clubs. Cannot risk a third. Far too costly.
Thomas - Connor I assume? No idea how he's still robbing a career from us. Wouldn't even entertain letting him down gently!
Fleck - before Christmas I'd have made this a priority. Then I found out he said he wanted to keep his options open. Then I seen him play the last 3 games, and my decision is now that the ball is in his court; if he wants us to consider a be contract he needs to up his game massively. Been a major disappointment of late and seems disinterested. Think we're lucky to have a player with his passing ability and vision (pre last 3 or so games), but seems distracted and looks like he's made the decision for us that he's moving on.
JOB - doesn't fit in with Mowbray and I'd take Mowbray staying here longer than JOB. Nice chap, but a headless chicken the majority of the time. Only seems to change games here and there and when he gets a chance to start, rarely takes it.
Lorentzon - I'd like to see more of him before making a call.
Cole - as long as he doesn't command a massive wage (already said he's not here for the money), I think he'd be good to have around. Maybe a player / coach role on the understanding he'd be more the latter
Phillips - already been told he can go hasn't he? If not, I'd be telling him he can find another club. Since his debut he seems to have fallen backwards quicker than, well anything that falls backwards......
Ricketts - undecided. Looked an asset at the start of the season but think the season has taken its toll. Probably erring towards a 'no' than a 'yes'
Tudgay - think his CCFC has gone on 7-8 months longer than it should have. I like him but clear he doesn't fit in. Always seems to be the fall guy.
Martin - if we can replace Ricketts / Reda with an experienced CB, then yes. This season he's been a different player. However, he does seem to struggle when he's the 'experienced' player of the two.
Ramage - no.
MAF - no
Hunt - defiantly not
Henderson - no
Finch - as above with Thomas. Seems a nice lad but that won't get us anywhere in the footballing word.

And you need atleast 1 of your central midfielder being able to grab a goal or two. Him and Vince don't offer that, and he himself must still be in single figures, despite the number of games he's played for us surely? And this season has got to be his most 'prolific'.

Are you serious about Reda, around 15 games a season is his track record and then out for the remainder. You cannot build a team around that type of absence no matter how good he might be. If you had someone working next to you who had an absence record like Reda's you would be seriously annoyed if they were not sacked.

Johnson: if it was performance based and basic salary then yes
Thomas: time to go for his sake and ours.

Plenty of time on his side to develop further.
Very good athlete.
Don't know how consistent young Tom Bayliss is with the youth, but if we're at this level again, could be a bit of a find.

All these out of contract players highlights another concern.

How many will now put their bodies on the line for the cause of the team, risk getting a long term injury now and not only will these players be out of contract but arguably their value also decreased if trying to get a new contract whilst injured.

Btw I'm not certain or 100% sure ,I read or heard Mowbray say some of the team have been offered new contracts which they are mulling over.

Lawton is out of contract too. I think Sisu may make us go tits up and save on contracts or redundancy payments as its a fooking major rebuild either way. Maybe they are trying the same old trick with Wasps for a better deal.

Got to be some other gems out there too. Would rather we nabbed them than signing a bunch of 34 year olds well past their prime.

We should spend all our money on the best goal-keeper we can find and then build forwards from there.

Ain't going to be a lot of building forwards if we spend all our money. Just my opinion but one player doesn't make a team; a successful team is more than the ability of each individual.
