Steve Waggott, the man tasked with finding a new manager, is the guest speaker at the Sky Blue Trust open meeting tonight, upstairs at the Squirrel, Greyfriars Lane, Coventry, CV1 2GY. Meeting is open to all, members and non members, starts at 7.30 but I would advise people too arrive a bit early as a good turnout is expected.

Cannot promise he will tell us who mamanger is going to be but I am sure we can give him some pointers as to who the fans would and wouldn't like - he might even take those comments on board!!

Promises to be an interesting evening - talking about football and not finance (does anyone remember what that is like?????)

Hope to see a good number of you there

would have loved to beable to attend this however work commitments mean i am unable. but pleaseee someone stress to him the unpopularity of some of the prospective managerial appointments. He needs to know what we think!.. Dissuade him from Curle, Dissuade him from Brown. just suggest there would be a massive backlash if they were appointed.

If anyone else is unable to attend please list your questions here and I will try and get some answers and put them here tomorrow

ask him if there is any point in even thinking about buying a season ticket for next season and why dont they pay the rent that they both agree on (ACL and SISU) and sort out the food at a later to date to get us out of the transfer embargo so we can strengthen the team!!!

Jan – Can you ask him this.

If the rent situation isn’t solved to the club’s satisfaction, can we expect wholesale changes to the squad during the summer to fall in line with the FFP regulations.

Can you ask him if he thinks the poor atmosphere at home games is something that has affected our home form, and if anything is planned to change this? Moving the away fans closer, closing back rows or the CET stand for example. Thanks

Fair number of non-football questions there, which he can rightly not answer as being outside his area.
I'd be interested to know whether there is any overall policy on the type of player we recruit, or whether it's just tghe short-term requirements of the manager. Assuming, that is, we're able to get anyone at all in!

As someone has already said Steve is not a member of the CCFC board and whilst he may have a bit of information about stuff going on between CCFC and ACL his role is on the football side and to make the evening productive we should keep the questions to football - I was going to ask who that mysterious number 7 we have had in the last couple of games cos he looks like that David Bell who played for us a few years ago.

The Trust is meeting with the board of CCFC tomorrow and I will try and bring up some of the non-footy points raised here but please bare in mind principal reason for meeting is for them to answer the same questions that have been put to ACL.

1, In light of 'the real and imminent threat of liquidation'- (Tim Fisher), Why are the board actively seeking to employ a new manager?

2, Why haven't we considered wearing our away strip at The Ricoh (We seem to achieve better results and it doesn't clash with empty sky blue seats?)

to be honest with you jan i much rather it was fisher there so we can ask him some questions about whats happening at the club because everything waggot does might be a waste of time come the end of the season if joy and her cronies wind the club up !!! waggot is just being rolled out to stop the urgently needed questions about the future (if any) of the club being asked!!!

I despair about some of the questions suggested on here. He is most unlikely to divulge or announce anything really earth-shattering about anything future...nor give much about the past. It's a public relations exercise - and a very welcome & much needed one. The most likely outcome is that some new snippets will come to light & a few potential teasers provided. Beyond that, like most of these corporate "meet the customer" types of events - I suspect it will raise more questions with us than it answers.

We need more power and more speed. I think the next manager should be Jeremy clarkson with his 2 side kicks as assistants.........

Can you ask him if there is any chance we will be able to bring in a new loan striker before the end of the loan window (ie are we likely to have embargo lifted)?

I don't think you are allowed to.

To be fair to club and Waggott this has been pencilled in for some time now and we actually expected him to cry off in light of all the stuff going on with ACL etc but fair play to him he is turning up. It will be a good night if we stick to football which he can talk about but if people just keep asking about the finance and politics it will be a waste of time as he won't be able to answer. Trust is meeting with Fisher etc tomorrow and we hope to get some answers for everyone.

Surely that depends on the pertinence of the question and the skill and intelligence of the questioner?
"Do you think that Carsley should go with two up front?" Doesn't really cut it alongside "How long can the club continue to be mismanaged by the current owners before it makes your job impossible and these sort of "meet and greet" sessions an irrelevance?" Just saying.:guitar2::pimp:

The most dissecting, pertinent, intelligent question - asked in the most skilful & intelligent manner will at best receive a "I can't comment on that at the moment" type answer.

You MAY be right but it certainly doesn't mean it shouldn't be asked.
If nobody talks about the elephant in the room the problem will only get worse.

Pertinence of the question and skill and intelligence of the questioner probably the problem:

"So, Faggot, when are Shitsu fucking off out of the club and taking that evil slag Joyless with them"? "SHITSU OUT"!

Seems to be the level generally found on here anyway.
