...that having someone in goal who doesn't chuck one in his own net every other game equals more clean sheets which equals more points?

Amazing eh?

Would be funny to dig up some of the posts from previous RCC/Burge threads where most people seemed to consider RCC the next Lev Yashin and Burge the worst keeper ever to play the game.

Well done Lee, keep it up.

Burge is doing well over a short space of time, he needs to keep up this consistency for the next 10-12 months like RCC did when he got the shirt.

Chief Commentator!
A lot of his saves are quite unconventional.

If our league had a proper coverage like the premiership I'm sure they'd analyse some of his saves and wonder wtf's going on :D

But if we're grinding out results with him between the sticks, so be it!

Imagine though, just imagine if he was actually our GK when we went up?

Would certainly show what a shit division this is :D

Fair play to Burge, He's getting better each game. If I was Jordan Willis or Kyel Reid I'd be a bit miffed seeing Burge take the bottle of Bubbly tonight though.

Tonight, Lee Burge gets a 'well played' from me for the first time. Credit where it's due. But come on chaps, let's not get carried away after one game.

The clean sheets he's kept have certainly helped with his confidence issues and if he carries on in this manner it'll be difficult for anyone to oust him.

Credit where it's due Burge had an excellent game tonight. Looked much more confident on crosses and did everything asked of him.

Lets hope he can keep up that sort of form. I do worry that one or two mistakes and his confidence will go but hopefully that won't be the case.

First time I've seen Burge this season, he looks a different player, took everything
Out of the air with no dramas, his positioning was good, made a few decent saves
Including a vital one to save Willis blushes, even his kicking was better.
He's obviously feeling confident in himself, and we can only benefit from that, long
May he prosper.

Burge was a very, very nervy keeper and RCC a much more confident keeper who suffered rushes of blood to his head.

I am happy Burge now seems more confident.

I think that is less drama queenish thinking and more rationality applied.
