Haven't read anything, but if we needed to raise money I'd be looking at selling Simms if it was possible to make 5 mil+ (although I do like him), Binks, BTA, Bidwell, and Eccles if we got an offer of 4 mil+.

I think if we start selling the core of the squad, we'd just undo the good work we've done in recruitment. I think the squad needs one more good season together to have a go at it. From the list, I'd lean towards selling MVE. I think a quality RB replacement could be found with good recruitment. Selling Wright would be madness, considering he's are top goalscorer 2 seasons running, and he missed a large chunk of this season. Goalscorers are hard to come by. I think Sheaf still has something to give the club too, even though most seem to think he'll probably spend most of next season out injured.

Then again, could be argued that if you retain a solid core in midfield - Grimes, Sheaf, Rudoni, Torp, etc - you could just build the squad around them. I think controlling the game in midfield trumps all else.

Haji Wright would fetch the highest fee so I’d be tempted to cash in if a ridiculous offer came in.

Rudoni is 100% a keeper under all circumstances and MVE is an important player for us but not irreplaceable.

Hopefully, we keep all 3 players.

I’m tempted to agree but he works well with Saka and I suspect that, without him, the right hand side will suffer both in attack and defence.

It was just a thought experiment really. Hopefully we keep everyone but you never know when someone’s head gets turned or Lampard decides he wants to cash in and upgrade elsewhere.

Not sure voting for him out of the 3 means not rating him
Just means seeing him as more dispensable with than the others.
I don't normally agree with 'selling your goals'.

But we had our best spell of the season without him and his recent performances away from home have been poor.

When you look at the dross we've put up with over the years up top, that have gone on to other clubs and been prolific, it's nice to actually have the prolific part of them for a change. Culprits that spring to mind are JCH who was awful everywhere but Peterborough and Connor Chaplain who was awful everywhere but Ipswich for 2 seasons. Throw Craig Bellamy in there for good measure as it's always good to have a pop at that c**t!

Whenever I watch back the FA cup semi final against Man Utd from last year, I notice Simms 'shinned' his goal. O'Hares goal was a huge deflection too. We were lucky until the VAR incident but that strike by Simms shows just about Simms him.up.

Are people forgetting we're completely in the driving seat contract wise, Wright & MVE have 2 years left and Rudoni 3. This is not another Vik/Gus situation where they can leave for free next summer.

Don't think there is an obvious choice really. Maybe if we had an actual backup MVE would be.

Rudoni: Youngest, has probably shown the most improvement this season, biggest impact on our season overall

MVE: Still young, one of our top performers for two years and the only natural RB in the squad

Wright: Biggest contributor when fit, probably the best of the three but also significantly older than the others

Great plan sell our only attacking threat with any quality. It would cost the sane we receive at least to replace him

It is not apathy, it is injuries and tiredness. Throw in a few dodgy ref decisions and Collin's mistakes and we are where we are.
No player is not busting a gut to get to the playoffs. There are big financial rewards for all our players to get to the playoffs, bigger to get to Wembley and massive rewards for getting promoted.

True. But I made my judgement based on more than one game.
And worth remembering, the question wasn't who would you get rid of, but who would you get rid of out of the 3, ideally they all stay.

I would be surprised if any of our players achieved £15 million. Those three are core players, I would hope we can keep.
Every player has a price, and we will sell anyone if that price is offered.
Throw in players having their head turned by the opportunity to play at a higher level and increase their wages substantially.
The key is better replacement or equal at a much lower price.

Looking at a Saddles post earlier it looks like there's a few squad players out the door
Obviously not going to generate much in terms of transfer fees but should free up a chunk of wages

Not normally ITK but I do know there’s a lot of interest in Rapha.

A few modelling agencies have seen the work he’s been doing with the retro shirts this year and have enquired.

Any deal will involve a loan back to us for next years third kit release.

The whole premise of this thread is based on selling our best players, a ludicrous and foolish strategy. They are all under contract and I believe the club will be build on that strong foundation.

The players most likely to go are BTA, Allen, Collins and either Bidwell or DaSilva.

I am not convinced Sheaf will go, sort of thinking that to be 50/50.

Do not forget Binks and Lati have transfer value too and they are probably easy to replace.
