Big changes need to be made by Pressley as everyone has had enough of this silly formation.
4-4-2 or 4-3-3 now.
He needs to get the combo of the strikers right as well and get wing play and creativity spot on.
I don't think 442 is the answer, but I definitely think we should moved to a 451/433 variant.

4-5-1.
We need to shore up the midfield, as it is an incredibly weak area for us.
I'm struggling to see an area that would be anything other than weak at the moment.
My team today would be
Burge
Clarke Hines Webster Haynes
Thomas Barton fleck
Mcquoid Jackson coulibaly
Would end up being more of a 5 than a three.
Don't forget the first half of last season we often bossed games possession wise with just fleck and Thomas in the middle of the park.
Exactly, why some are suggesting they couldn't play there in a 4-4-2 is stupid.
How many goals did we concede last season? How many 20+ goal a season strikers, 10-15 goal a season midfielders do we have to compensate?

In a 4-4-2 like last season there is no reason to suggest that a combination of O'Brien, Coulibaly, Jackson, Nouble, McQouid and Tudgay couldn't get a similar return. Wilson, Clarke and Moussa wouldn't score at anywhere near the same rate in this system. The quality of this league certainly suggests players of their ability could.
Lol. Ha, ha, ha.
I really haven't laughed out so loudly in ages.
Priceless.
:claping hands:
You and your lover Stupot just don't have a clue.
Your defence starts with the midfield. Your attack starts with the midfield. Put four in there!
Okay.
You honestly believe Tudgay and McQuoid could get 20 goals a season for us?
McQuoid has already got 4 in this awful system.
At this level Jackson would get 20 plus
Tudgay's game is purely about finishing, we create hardly any actual chances in this system. Give him (and the rest of them) actual service (like last season) and they will score goals.
I'm sick of listing the average strikers that have scored 15 plus goals in this division over the past 3/4 years.
But a good indication of how easy it is to score in League one these days is the scoring charts.
The likes of Doyle, Forte, Done, Sears, Madden and Bradshaw alone tells you it really isn't that hard to score goals in this division.
Leon Clarke had an awful record throughout his career, yet after dropping down to league 1 (Which standard had started to decline) he scored goals for fun. He is possibly one of the worst technically gifted footballers I've ever seen in a City shirt, yet just kept scoring. Same goes for Wilson tbh, previously had shown nothing to suggest he would get 20 plus. And McGoldrick, nothing to goal machine after half a season at this level.
Fact is, change the system, go and attack, create chances, score goals and win games of football. It really isn't that difficult. With big Reda marshalling the back four (if he stays fit) our defence is better than last year.
Leon Clarkes record in league one thoughout his career is excellent, that is his level. Do your research.

The quality of League one has declined in the last 3/4 seasons.
Clarke has been playing regularly in this division since 2011.
Do your research.
Also instead of trying to find fault by picking out one small point of my post, actually take into account what I've said, cretin.
Why do you have to resort to name calling when someone disagrees with you?
Rather lame don't you think. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and you should respect that.
Give me your opinion on what I've just said, instead of picking one small point out of what I've said that you think may be wrong (Which it isn't). Give me an opinion peeeeeleaseeeeee.
Would you still rather have Jackson over Wilson and clarke?

Can't believe anyone could think that. Or that this squad is better than last year.

Again, have a massive problem with that. That midfield 3 looks like it would get walked all over.
Opinions init. Would have him over Clarke everyday of the week. Currently on a par with Wilson.
Is there any midfield combination at the club which wouldn't get walked over?
Another monumental cock up by Pressley
