Of course we shouldn't no other fans in the world would dream of showing the owners what they think of them.
Fucking disgraceful City fans at it again.
Maybe all those singing should stay away and then all the shitfields supporters can feel at home and crow about how good it is to have silence. And all the rest can moan about our shit support.
Fuck me can't win sing and we are putting of the team off or we are singing an embarrassing song.
well if you don't like it take some ear plugs.
What an arsehole.
Shitfields? Not heard that before. Let me tell you the reason I went to Shitfields... Because the side I supported were going through their lowest period and needed the support, in what was hopefully a temporary absence from Coventry. The second it may have been made permanent would be the day I stopped going. And for that I got started on by 4 Cov fans on the hill (who I should add I've not seen home or away since)
Weren't you the dickhead who drove all the way to Shitfields to run up and down blowing a whistle outside an empty stadium.
Anyway back to the subject in hand. Most people don't join in, I feel, because singers have always been in the minority. At Highfield Road it was the West Terrace and to a smaller extent the East End and Sky Blue Stand if things got heated. Embarrassingly the Singers Corner is now our West Terrace, it's just been eroded away over the years.
It's not only us with the problem. I was at Birmingham v Wolves last weekend and the only consistent noise came from a Singers Corner populated by a similar bunch, although in general a smaller, but older group than we have at Cov. Apart from a few renditions of Keep Right On, the rest of the ground was pretty quiet, and that was for a tasty local derby. Incidentally I though the Wolves fans were pretty awful, considering I feel their home support is up there with the best. I know that Cov at St Andrews would be far noisier, passionate and numerous.
It is definitely a shame that our West a Terrace has now become a joke, made up of a couple of hundred generally teenagers, singing You're Fucking Shit repeatedly. But a more pressing problem is probably the division between the fans (as I've probably exemplified here!), and the fact that as a group we don't get behind the club in any meaningful way. A look at social media comments generally produces comments such as "not paying x pounds to watch that shit".... Well we have some of the cheapest tickets in the division and can't sell them, so how can we expect to have a top budget to bring players in.
