or even joe elliot come out and say something about whats going on? Maybe the hoff has to keep quiet but joe must know something and has nothing to lose with these bunch of clowns

these the same clowns he personally helped bring to the club?

Joe would be in exactly the same situation as Hoffman because he is a part of the takeover bid. That is why SISU relieved him of his duties because it would be a conflict of interest if he remained on the board.

I'm sure that theyr'e planning to release a statement when theyv'e made an official bid. They probably do'nt want to have an ugly period of negotiations through the media. Just because theyv'e not said anything yet does'nt mean theyr'e not working hard behind the scenes.

Im pretty sure buting a football club is more difficult than nipping down the local shop for a frozen Lasagne, I mean think how long it takes to buy a house?

Problem is and I almost feel for Sisu (a bit) is that they are being made out to be the bad guys, Hoffman the saviour but what if Hoff isnt even covering their losses?

The thing is though, it sounds as if they have had no clue on how to run a football team since they took over. They should have really known the only way to make money is to get promoted if we don't own the ground.

I am not a hedge fund, I am not a business guru but I have common sense..

Maybe they all thought they were buying a Soccer Franchise...

Don't feel sorry for them. They are all very, very wealthy people who saw us as nothing more than an investment opportunity-which they screwed up badly by failing to follow through the initial vision, leaving us and them in the mess we are now. The money they lost is down to their lack of investment. If they'd bought the ground within 18 months as they originally intended, they'd have much more of an assett to sell by now. Ditto the club as a whole if they'd have added to Dann, Fox and Westwood, instead of changing gameplan and getting rid of them to offsett short-term losses.

Think of it like Dragons Den. All the SISU dragons turned around and said "I'm out" a long time ago-despite initially being "in". That's their error, not anyone elses. They play high-stakes money games, it's how they got rich. If they get it wrong, they lose lots too. OK so the Credit Crunch played a big part-tough, they aren't the only people to have got burned by that. They need to face up to reality and take whatever they can get.

"The former vice chairman is thought to have made two offers to the owners Sisu, but they would appear to be unwilling to sell up and lose money on their investment and have been unable to attract extra outside investment."

We'll soon know as the players will be getting flogged, won't they? They'd get more for them now than in administration..I just keep remembering Wimbledon. They had people like Reo-Coker and McAnuff sold for stuff like 75k, 250k when in admin..You'd flog Sammy and Lukas for a larger fee now than you'd get in administration, surely? I can't help but feel we're missing one huge piece of this jigsaw yet. No surprises there! At any rate, I'd say market values (2 weeks ago):

Cranie-750k-1m
Sammy-750k-1m
Lukas-750k-1m
Turner-500k (due to injuries, otherwise treble it)
McPake-250k (ditto)
Hussey-750k (yeah, I think he's awesome)
Clarke-200-500k
Keogh-400-750k
Bell-200-400k
Baker 100-300k
Wood-200-300k
Cameron-100-300k
Thomas-500-750k
Birgirimana-400-750k

Don't think anyone will pay a fee for Sheff 'cos the knees are shot, Deegan due to missing a year with injury, or Freddy due to form/contract. Or Clive or Roy, natch. The other youngsters are too unproven to merit a fee. So selling everyone now could maybe get you around 7m tops, less than their value as it'd be a buyers market. Much less than half of that if it was selling from admin, with no control over accepting/rejecting offers whatsoever.

EDIT: of course, there's a host of sell-on fees amongst that little lot-and much of what we get would be similar, or based on appearances. It aint pretty.

I'm afraid you're probably massively over-valuing our squad there, remember several of those players will be available to talk to other clubs in 6 months time.

It's only a ballpark figure. I wouldn't say I massively over-value. Players at our level rarely go for under 100k often. Nasri doesn't seem to have to much lopped off his 20m+ valuation just by having a year left. And they can't sign any contract with another club until next summer anyway.

A lot of them will have enhanced their rep by showings under AT. If I've overvalued anyone it's Sammy and Bell, and then only due to contracts. I think Bell would be snapped up by the likes of Barnsley/Doncaster/Brighton who pass the ball. Sammy likewise by someone like Blackpool or Derby, maybe Ipswich as linked-there'd be enough interest to create a bit of a bidding war, even with a year on his contract. He's a bloody top championship player who is our real "franchise" man if anyone is.
