Tittle says it all, why should CCC help Otium Entertainment Ltd?

In the past 35 years Coventry has seen Peugeot, Jaguar, Triumph, Massy Ferguson, Rolls Royce, GEC, Courtaulds, and many more other major companies close. CCC did not help any of these as they are private companies and free to do as they wish. These companies provided far more to the city in terms of prestige, jobs, and money than a 3rd Division football club ever will.

Also none of these companies ever (to my knowledge) tied CCC up in an expensive legal battle.

So I'd like to hear the arguments as to why CCC should suddenly help a privately owned company.

After all, we all agree that it would have been better for CCC not to help CCFC back in 2003 don't we?

Why did they help ACL or are you saying they are not a private company?

No, you're right. Fuck the club, bunch of clowns. How dare they ask for millions of pounds and loads of other stuff like free cocaine. I'm so outraged at the moment what with all this Sisu demanding loads of money shit. Outrageous.

They are not a privately owned company.

Coincidentally do you still think ACL are a Quango, or have you stopped calling them that now as that would leave Sisu without a case at the JR?

I'm just asking whats the reasoning for wanting CCC to help Otium?

So the club wanting to buy the ground is automatically an act of charity from the council? Have I missed something? What are you chatting about?

The Council have already helped, they secured a loan so that ACL could reduce its interest payments, and thereby afford to offer CCFC a lower rent.

ACL are a private company - the shareholders are not. So in restructuring a loan the council helped the private company.

How, legally, are they not a private company?

They are a private company in the same sense that Royal Mail was a private company pre 2013.

We were talking about why the council shouldn't help the club. Has the deal not been done because the council don't want to help the club? I'm struggling to understand what you're on about tbh.

When was the club going to buy the Ricoh ?
I always thought it was Sisu that wanted to purchase an unencumbered Ricoh.

Most back the club, most couldn't give a shit about a hedge fund.

I personally couldn't give a shit about the hedge fund or the city, just the football club!

I was just asking, should the council help the club?

Should they allow Otium to buy ACL if they don't want to sell?

So if they won't sell and want to charge silly rent with no way for the club to make it's own money, where does that leave the club?
