When Mark Robins was sacked, the majority of the fanbase were annoyed.
Doug told us Mark had instigated Adi's sacking and the lack of that tactical nouse was effecting us short term in our results. Medium term in our progression and long term in our player development. This gave us an insight into his decision as the club would see its development stiffled and his investment would be at risk.

Frank Lampard despite over spending and financilly crippling Derby did a good job there, followed by another good job at Chelsea.
After falling out and parting ways with trusted number 2 Jody Morris, Frank did a terrible job at Everton and again at the 2nd Chelsea stint.

Surely Frank Lampard is the perfect example to Dougs argument that a good Manager and coach partnership is needed.
If Frank Lampard is not the example , but the solution. Doug is going completely against his own argument and the saking of Robins was futile.
Good luck explaining this away Doug

Perhaps lets just wait to see how Lampard does first eh?

You either believe in giving a manager / head coach time or you don't.

So because Lampard fell out with his number 2 at Chelsea, he should never be employed again?

Only interested in what he does here, not what went on in his previous jobs.

Robins went from Doug because he didn’t bring in a head coach to support him, wasent getting results and seemed tactically exposed (like against Derby)

On Lampard comes in with Jody, then he is in essence replacing Robins role as a manager and Jody as the Adi Vinesh in the model.

I think if it's Lampard I am going to ask for a refund on my season ticket and just get a season ticket for wherever Robins goes next. Failing that I will just watch Sheff Utd play.

To address the question in the heading, I still have faith in DK.

I think the decision to sack MR was wrong -or at least taken too early - and like the rest of us he is human and therefore not perfect but I’m sure he wants the best for our club.

I’m not going to judge the new head coach until towards the end of next season.

I think it's unfair to blame him for financial problems at Derby, that's down to the ownership for overspending. As far as I know Lampard isn't an accountant and wasn't signing the cheques.

Of course, whoever comes in has my backing and support, until their performance suggests it was a bad idea to appoint them.

If Lampard is appointed, he’ll be off after a while if he does well, or badly. So, I dunno. Just seems like a PR appointment, if he gets it.

Like most managers then?

Extremely unlikely we'll have a manager that's with us for 7 years again for the reasons you've mentioned

Lampard is definitely more of a coach than a manager which is what doug wants. No problem with that
