TICKETS: Carabao Cup tie at AFC Wimbledon sold-out!
Tickets for Coventry City's Carabao Cup tie at AFC Wimbledon are now sold-out.www.ccfc.co.uk
I imagine some have done that who don't mind wasting £18 but not 500 lolAt least 500 out of the 1,200 sold were bought just for the points by people with no intention of going
I’m not saying they have bought them and wasted the money but that a lot of people with 1100+ pts have bought them and sold them either on twitter or to their matesI imagine some have done that who don't mind wasting £18 but not 500 lol
Shouldn’t be too hard to match ticket numbers with tickets scanned for entry. Deduct points for those who do this.At least 500 out of the 1,200 sold were bought just for the points by people with no intention of going
I thought you couldn’t do this because for the Leicester game it would not allow you to buy an U18 ticket without an adult ticket. Why would they suddenly change this for Wimbledon? Kids tickets were also £5.My mate bought a kids one for £7 for the points

What should happen then ?I’m not saying they have bought them and wasted the money but that a lot of people with 1100+ pts have bought them and sold them either on twitter or to their mates

I think it’s not perfect but it works well and club are open to considerThe only other acceptable solution imo is to ballot around 5% of the tickets .. but again, why should the club do this when we didn't sell 100% of away games out last season
Personally, I think its bullshit. Fans who have over 1K points is because they went to away games over the last few years. Why would they suddenly start not going to games just to get the points when the football is so much better.
Yes agree but it is clearly open to abuse as are buying tickets and reselling them so they accumulate points for matches they’re not going to.its called loyalty. they have accumulated them points to go to them games to begin with when we were shite...PUSB

I think the point that is being made if people buy a cheap midweek ticket to boost there own points with intention of attending then it falls over.I think it’s not perfect but it works well and club are open to consider

Agreed and will be obvious if away ends are emptyI think the point that is being made if people buy a cheap midweek ticket to boost there own points with intention of attending then it falls over.
You can only buy one ticket per supporter number - it doesn’t make a ton of sense for people to buy tickets just for the points if they’re not also planning to attend the away games anyway. I’d be amazed if it becomes a widespread problem.Yes agree but it is clearly open to abuse as are buying tickets and reselling them so they accumulate points for matches they’re not going to.
Pete , the away end won't empty , it will be full.. fans are massively exaggerating as usualAgreed and will be obvious if away ems is empty
Yes exactly my point.its called loyalty. they have accumulated them points to go to them games to begin with when we were shite...PUSB
A ballot system may be required - which prioritises people with the most loyalty points without making it a closed shop. It’s frustrating looking at sale windows and knowing I won’t get in - I’ve got 850 points or so.I'm sure the abuse is exaggerated as usual on here .. it will be a small minority .. but again i ask , what's the solution ?
if it is should the club look at checking who actually attends the games? Seems unfair if loads have brought with no intention of goingAgreed and will be obvious if away ems is empty
How?if it is should the club look at checking who actually attends the games? Seems unfair if loads have brought with no intention of going
Right so why do you have 850 points and I have 1550 .. and why should I have the same priority as you .. in your opinionA ballot system may be required - which prioritises people with the most loyalty points without making it a closed shop. That’s a bit of a sophisticated solution at this moment in time. A longer term solution, especially if we’re successful this year and onwards.
