since I got little help from the other site I'll try here

can't get it working The light on the router ''wlan'' does not come on. I can get connected by putting a cable between the router and laptop but no wireless. Now, I have phoned telefonica ( Spain ) but they are as much use as a pig in a mosque, just saying there is no problem and the problem must be with my line, which is bollox as I have only just had it replaced. They also said the computer may not be sending a signal to the router. Can someone explain.

If poom's about contact me  That will be all.

It sounds like wireless is not enabled :(

Do you have the instructions with the address on? ie 192.168.0.1 ?

You will need to go into the web based admin and enable wireless which will turn the green light on.

I think he lives in Spain

Plus they don't if it is your own router, only if it is one of their wireless packages.

It takes an hour to get through to them on the phone at least and they have no idea about anything to be honest.

I am looking to get away from Virgin.
