Similar situation here with my brother, even if you have a ballot, it’s random chance if you get a ticket or not. In all probability, neither of our brothers would be able to get a ticket.Lot of hand-wringing about the points system which is a bit sad. Been a ST holder for about 18 years but my younger brother has his first ST this season. I’d never previously made an effort with cup games etc but now we have to build his points up we’ve been to all the FA cup games as well as some of the less appealing away days (Rotherham away, for example). Just have to get on with it. He can’t get a ticket for Wolves, he’s disappointed but he gets it and will watch on tv instead.
i think season ticket holders should get first dibs at the same time for this sort of game
I certainly don't understand why anyone would for this game as its on the telly.....an all day session in the boozer beckonsI have never understood the appeal of watching Cov in the home end of an away game
It's away end only or not at all

It did feel last year like those who had funded the club by getting a season ticket at St Andrews were prioritised over those who didn't.Only thing that pisses me off is the points system and I’ve got a wolves ticket. Boils my piss that people I know who refused to go to Brum and rightly so in my opinion who have been season ticket holders for maybe 35 of the last 40 years but can’t get tickets. People spout on about the points system being fair, is it really?
you would think the club would have the past purchasing history of the last 40 years. That’s the loyal fans. so onto wolves, I’ll end up with Somme 17 year old sniffed up twat next to me clone island up to the max who maybe been going for 3 years when it should be a pal who stood next to me at ewood park watching lee hurst score a worldie. To reiterate, points system is bollocks and thats coming from someone who can get away tickets for any game.
ALL games are on the telly, and in boozers if you know where to look.I certainly don't understand why anyone would for this game as its on the telly.....an all day session in the boozer beckons
So there shouldn't be a points system then ?i think season ticket holders should get first dibs at the same time for this sort of game
I'd wager that Venn diagram crosses over quite a bit and those crying their eyes out about unfairness are nowhere near either but fancy a nice day out in the cup at the expense of those who regularly commit and have been to the other rounds previously. The very definition of selfish.Look, it’s not a personal attack on you. i did the same.
my point is ppl get tickets who have been to maybe 80 games in the last 3 years where ppl who have been to 400 games in the last 9 years are forgotten.
Not possible unless they do POTG. My mate already tried and you have to have a membership number with purchase history. Loads of corporate for away fans but a bit pricey.Anyone thinking about the home end?
I do think it’s mad that you can be a season ticket holder and not get away tickets but be a member of a supporters club non st holder and get a ticket ! That for me is just wrong!
i think season ticket holders should get first dibs at the same time for this sort of game
So if you had a season ticket that season you’d be on 1060 and easily able to get tickets for pretty much every game
Suggesting "improvements" to what is already a fair system to suit yourself shows a high level of entitlement, I was in the top bracket for this game but I've only got to that level this season by going to a couple of away games and the cup matches, I expect my points will drop a bit next year when the COVID season is chalked off, so be it, I'll get tickets when I'm allowed and if it's a big game and I miss out it will probably be on TV anyway, stop whining folks, those with the points have earned them.I'd wager that Venn diagram crosses over quite a bit and those crying their eyes out about unfairness are nowhere near either but fancy a nice day out in the cup at the expense of those who regularly commit and have been to the other rounds previously. How would a ballot work, I go to games with my son, I expect most go to games with friends and family, it would be very unlikely that we would both get a ticket in a ballot so i wouldn't want to go anyway, I expect it would be the same for most. That’s madness; if people cannot be online at exactly 10am they will miss out in the scramble of potentially 18000 season ticket holders trying to buy at the same time, irrespective of their purchasing history (potentially to someone who had just bought their first ever season ticket). That is a lot less fair than the current points system.
The points system is not perfect, but at least we have a consistent system that people understand and can manage around, and it only gets time critical on the last tranche of the allocation.
However I think there is some merit in the ballot idea, maybe 10% on any allocations of over 2000, but no more.
The club should also stop allocating tickets to supporters clubs. Despite the protestations that it doesn’t happen, it obviously does - I personally know one individual (non season ticket holder) who regularly gets a ticket when he wants one from a well-known supporters club. This is just wrong.
Ultimately, the club have rightly decided to reward those who consistently buy season tickets (and away/cup tickets) over a period of time. That’s about as fair as it can be.
I'd definitely get that checked, did you get a season ticket this seasonTBF I’ve been a ST holder every year since promotion including the Covid not really a St ST and all home cup games plus all the Wembley visits and I’ve got 830 pts.
So I’m not sure the club gives everyone the correct points.
Yep. I don’t think it’s showing the Covid season but my history has everything else on there. I don’t really do away games so not that fussed and don’t think I should get dibs over someone who has done Plymouth on a Tuesday night so no rush to fix. Just saying if you’re gonna rely on a system probably make sure it works for everyone first.I'd definitely get that checked, did you get a season ticket this season
Thats odd. Without checking the fine detail, that sounds very much like my history. I have got 1,120 points. It sounds as if you have a season’s season ticket points missing. The scheme works as follows:-TBF I’ve been a ST holder every year since promotion including the Covid not really a St ST and all home cup games plus all the Wembley visits and I’ve got 830 pts.
So I’m not sure the club gives everyone the correct points.
You might not be so laid back if a points error means you don’t get tickets for our three Wembley appearances this year.Yep. I’ve got 1110 so I guess it’s a bit odd
Me tooTBF I’ve been a ST holder every year since promotion including the Covid not really a St ST and all home cup games plus all the Wembley visits and I’ve got 830 pts.

Like I say I’m not bothered for myself, but I doubt I’m the only one. Hopefully it all works out as the windows rolls over, I’m sure admin during Covid and under Sisu wasn’t great.
Me too
The rollover & points deduction worked fine last season, no reason to think it will be any different this time around.
860 I think I’ve done the lad away game thoughYeah I mean more than old stuff under the old regime rolls off and King seems more on it in terms of admin.
