Did it in 2, I start with ADIEUWas on a break off site, waiting for a client to arrive. Haven't played this for nearly 2 years I think but decided hey I'll have a look at Wordle. F'k me, only cracked it in one with one of my old starting words. Very lucky.

How do you do that, out of curiosity ?Does anyone play it on the "hard mode"? Ironically it seems to be easier.

Set it to 'hard' and got it in 3, lol ! The hard setting just reduces the scattergun use of letters, though if you miss getting them early on, I guess it reduces your chance of solving the word.Press the settings symbol at the top of the page, and it should be the first option.

Agree that it makes you consider the second selection more, but not yet sure which I'm going to prefer. I always start with ADIEU and STORY as the first two words, unless the first selection effectively discounts some of the letters in STORY. Obviously can't necessarily do that with the 'HARD' version.Yeah exactly, it stops you from rushing it and makes you spend time thinking about sensible options for words.
