I’m sure we tried to sign midfielders to do the job with the gaps we have.
However, if you’ve got 7 capable strikers and wingers at this level, and 3 midfielders (arguably only Sheaf at this level) then is it worth reverting to 2 up top with 2 cutting in or one as an 8 and a 3 at the back with attacking wing backs?
2 central midfielders (Lati and Sheaf if fit with Torp and Eccles as swap overs)
3 deep lying midfielders ain’t working and we don’t have 3 decent players for the position let alone cover.
The system ain’t working.
