I ama court case fan if that court case gives Sisu a battering.I'm not offended. There again I'm a football fan not a court case fan.
Each to their own I suppose.

This sums it up pretty well. Why would I swop the best day in we've had for 30 years for avoiding relegation from the third division? April 2nd was priceless.Personally, no. L1 is a poor standard of football, L2 whilst disappointing is really just more of the same.
We've finally had a bloody good day out at Wembley as a unified bunch of supporters, and won something too! No way I'd swap that for survival in the third tier, though I appreciate others may differ.
......you mean you would swap ? Bloody hell, what a shock.
I'd swap. Had a good day etc, but ultimately what was the point.
When Thomas scored I ripped my shirt open like The Incredible Hulk, I just didn't know how to behave properly at that moment.
Build from a fulcrum..???If it could be used as a fulcrum to build from.
Kick start something else then I'd say the Cup.
Memories my friend, memories.
Ultimately what is the point of anything if you want to get all philosophical.
For those that would swap would you be happy just finishing surviving in league one for infinity? Of course not, it's a stupid question. April 2nd was a unique occasion. Since when did sisu start giving a shit about anything other than breaking even?So those that wouldn't swap...would they be happy if SISU said we are targeting more Wembley days out for the fans as our future priority, but have no specific ambition in terms of league status?

That must have made the Jacob Murphy tattoo over your heart awkward to explain!I wouldn't change it for the world.
Let's say we did stay up instead, imagine if we got relegated next year? Also imagine if we get promoted next season. That would be a cup final and a promotion in consecutive seasons.
When Thomas scored I ripped my shirt open like The Incredible Hulk, I just didn't know how to behave properly at that moment. I wouldn't be doing that at Bristol Rovers or Grimsby, and let's face it what's the difference?
We've been shit all my life, and we probably will be shit for the rest of it. That day however, I will never forget.
Great day but staying in league 1 every time.
Stuck in league 2 for at least the next 12 months will show you why.
It's all about getting up the league not days out surely ?
One day out at Wembley and now a whole year slumming in league 2 grounds playing bullying unskilled football. Nope
NopeThe Wembley final was brilliant . It showed what huge potential this club still has. I for one didn't think we could sell out our initial 39,000 allocation due to years of decline, but how wrong I was.
I went in 1987 to Wembley. This time round of course it meant little in the context of the greater footballing world, but I will not forget the atmosphere and the pride I felt in experiencing Wembley 2017.
. I know relegation has financial implications that more than offset any success the cup run brought, but would I give up that one fantastic day ? Never.
What do you think ?
Got to agree the look on my 21 year old sons face when that first goal went in was priceless. You know what, I wouldn't give that cup up for anything. Season ticket holder for more years then I can remember, apart from Northampton of course, so years of decline and a little silver lining, one of my best days ever. Wife and daughter with their heads in hands not being able to watch with 5 mins left....priceless.
Now we are down I am looking forward to this division new grounds and I think that once we start winning we will get some good crowds..... so no wouldn't swap it!!!!!
D2 will give us the opportunity to face up to the reality and rebuild. I'm looking forward to next season, and maybe even another visit to Wembley in the play-offs, although in such a situation, I'd gladly give it a miss for automatic promotion.
ThisThat was one of the best days of my life. What's the difference between league 1 and 2, fuck all really. We'll be shit anyway and for us to win something was so special I wouldn't swap it at all.
I'm a season ticket holder
That wasn't a condition set in the question though, was it?For those that would swap would you be happy just finishing surviving in league one for infinity? Of course not, it's a stupid question. April 2nd was a unique occasion. Since when did sisu start giving a shit about anything other than breaking even?
No but it was as wildly hypothetical. It's a massively personal thing I suppose, I also hope it can act as a catalyst for a change in fortunes. That wasn't a condition set in the question though, was it?
I feel pretty sure some posters would be happy to trade six straight defeats in the Lg 2 campaign for a family day out at Legoland if it was on the table.
Spot on. With our current owners, relegation down the leagues is our only real prospect. Given the gross mis-management of the club, it was a minor miracle we managed to put a cup run together and actually lift it. I'd say the chances of doing that again are pretty slim.Under normal circumstances it would always be L1 but the tricky part here is would it have just been putting off relegation by 12 months. There's little to suggest there would have been a sudden turnaround.
