Now I think it is different, as I would not have sold for £5m but with £10m rumoured for Maddison it is different, but only if TM demands and gets £2-£4m of that on playing budget.
For me the answer to that question is "NO". Maddison still needs to develop his skills and he can do this in the Championship next season with Coventry
Never stopped us before.Isn't there another thread on this already?
Yes. It would be madness not too. No guarantee at all he'll be worth more in two years time. Many, many players don't progress as hoped for many reasons. If we can get him back on loan too then even better still. You would just HAVE to sell for 10 million! No question.
The You You are one of my favourite bands, apart from the difficult second album of course.Snap. Their. Hands. Off.
Thats bloody good money and can change the fortunes of the club. If it's all up front, I'd take it.
As with Wilson though, it would only be worth doing if all the cash is made available for squad improvements. Otherwise, fuck off. The You You I
You ask 'will it replace him?' But you have to remember the lad has only made 16 appearances for us. It's not like he's been the cornerstone of our side for some time is it.If we do go up, we need some money, I'm already thinking how great to go straight up but then how good to have a trip to wembly and the extra money and momentum that will bring .10 mill is a lot of money , but would it replace him because he is the type of player we will need if we are going to progress. On the flip side we need to strengthen and try to stop relying on loans .my big worry is we wont see enough of the money to make selling worth while . Only T.M knows his worth to the team and that must come before his worth to the club
At my age everyone seems so young, Pete.He was friendly and refreshingly honest about things yesterday. Mostly he's so young!!!
Really hope he hits the ground running and continues to do so for the rest of the season
ditto! At my age everyone seems so young, Pete.

I'm sure there has been enquiries at the very least from bigger clubs, as TM would not have had that conversation with Joy.
But it's ludicrous to even entertain the thought of sums of £10m.
Thats is practically a fair chunk of what it Wasps to buy their share of the Ricoh.
I forget loads of stuff these days. Can't even remember what I had for breakfast an hour ago, let alone what it was like to be 19 with so much potential.
My potential was restricted purely to wankathons and flunking exams, though.
Realistically though every club would test our resolve. They would start the bidding very low. Just like they did with Wilson....
Btw it's not always in the clubs or TM hands. Once young heads are turned it can become very unsettling. Especially when the young lad can possibly go from earning 60k p/a (not bad for a 18 year old). To possibly 250k p/a.
scenario Arsenal offer a firm bid of £2m , that's practically 75% of our playing budget. The board would be short sighted to sell but would very tempted.
Hes an asset no doubt. But a bird in your hand is always better than two in the bush.
The development he would get training in and around the Arsenal first team would be on a different stratosphere compared to here with all respect.
All conjecture
10m? Hell YES. For a player believed to be a future star not yet anything other than potential. So far he has played a handful of games and there is no guarantee he will achieve that start status is there? We have not exactly missed him have we?
The issue is what will happen with the 10m?
I understand our owners ways of doing business but they did straighten themselves out somewhat and seem to understand what is needed to get to where they want to be - a position that will attract buyers. To that end they surely would reinvest the majority of that 10m and give what Stupot and Torch want and have the money to compete in the championship.
I doubt he would be loaned back.
