Linked with a move to us when Coleman took charge, due to his Sociedad links....

Real Sociedad's £10m-rated Spanish winger, is on Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish's summer wish list

Linked with or wished? CCFC wouldn't know a winger if it slapped them in the face

Seen that as well, now imagine if he'd signed...

...he'd have been shit

Doesn't always work even if we were on the same page - I think we were quoted £4m for Andrew Driver. At £500k may have been worth a punt.

How is Mr Driver getting on? I was one who was all for us signing him, but he seems to have completely gone off the radar.

Driver is omni-injured. Probably why we were sniffing around him.

SISU missed a trick with Prieto..... they could've been running off into the sunset with £8m profit right now.

No chance - we would have already cashed in on him 12 months ago for about £1.5m before he really made it elsewhere

The club were quoted 6.5 million for Prieto. Hence it went no further than a call. It's the fact that Chris Coleman was quoted 1 million for Andy Carroll in 2009 that is hard to take.

I heard that we could have had Carroll for cheap as well!

I remember Robert Jarni too, great player for us!

We turned down Keegan too because we said he was too small and would never make it

Robert Jarni - what a player he was for us

Never once saw him miss a tackle or misplace a pass!

Strachan turned down the chance of signing Van Nistelrooy for just north of £2m a year before he went to Utd.

Was that when his knee was in 12 pieces?

Not having a go at you edgy because I've heard that story so many times but it has to be bullshit.

In both of his first 2 seasons @ PSV (after signing for around £5m) he scored over 30 goals - in his 3 he was about to sign for Man U then tore apart his knee.
