We’ve got Pompey, Plymouth and Millwall to play for the Xmas run.

1 week of training before we go into the next block of 3

7 points from the next 3 takes us to 31points.

We’re playing Plymouth and Portsmouth. Even if we were bad we would expect 2 wins there.

At the moment I think we are unspectacular. We’ve just scraped a win against the worst team in the league, it’s hardly like we’ve blown them away. On paper we should be beating any of the bottom 5

I don’t think we scrapped it. We should’ve scored 4 or 5 and they scored one sucker punch chance. In reality, we battered them and the scoreline doesn’t show that.

What do you consider to be making a fist of it?

I think we'll have a decent run now but I'm expecting mid table mediocrity. Which is a good base to build from.

Pompey have taken points at home against better teams than us this season. Have to work hard for all points in this league. Expecting us to suddenly win loads of games on the bounce from where we are is a fools game, as lovely as that would be.
Encouraging signs and I'm having more fun watching us but at risk of repeating myself that defence needs a transfer window to sort it out imo, especially the left side of it.

But that's on the basis that we've improved recently, we have a run of fixtures any side in this league would pick if they could, and it's about time we finally put a run together. Unbeaten in 5, or 3 wins on the spin. This is the ideal time to do that for me

On the season as a whole, it frustrates me as the league is a lot tighter this year and if we can get to the January window comfortably mid table then it's anyones guess what we can do from there

We are indeed. We have to beat the teams around us and if we do that against Portsmouth/Plymouth/Cardiff/Millwall then we will be ok this season.

We're too fragile, I just want us to get into the top half asap and things will look a lot rosier in the garden.

We’re playing the worst teams in the league. In reality we should be aiming for 9 points in the next 3.

6 points is the bare minimum
