Pretty damn jealous of that. As an overseas fan iFollow has been a godsend but I miss the pre-match build up almost as much as the match itself. I still get that slow build up of excitement and anticipation during the day but it's always without the acceleration and buzz of being out and about having a few pints amongst fellow fans.
Do you not take your whippet for a walk then?Away games
we go on train and get the one that lands us in our destination for between 10:30 and 11:00 have a breakfast and a few pints and get to the ground for between 14:30 and 14:50.
Home games
I usually work overtime in the morning 05:30 until 11:30, to give me a few extra quid for the away game the following week, I get home for 11:45 having already had a shower at work, I watch football focus and the opening show which I’ve recorded, I always have the same pre match meal, Pie Mash & Gravy. Whilst watching them, I put my bets on for the football and racing, get changed into going out gear, and my brother picks me up at 14:30. park on my mates drive near the ground call into the sandwich shop for a lucozade sport and a boost bar. Walk up to the ground taking the same route as always and always go though the same turnstile.
That’s the wife’s job, I’m on bringing in the coal and cleaning out the pigeon loft duties, but I do that in the evening.Do you not take your whippet for a walk then?
That could be a new chant!Wank, wank, pop to the bank, coffee, piddle, grub
I was going to google what that meant but then I stopped just in time.Stop edging then, and just get it out.
You should have anticipated that when you took the job of driving the shuttle from the Tavern to the ground.I do enjoy a quick wank before a home game, But it’s proving a bit difficult today as the bus is busier than usual!
It would help if you cunts had the right change! You should have anticipated that when you took the job of driving the shuttle from the Tavern to the ground.

Thanks for the thread Jamesimus.
Brought out some great humour.

Pie, mash and gravy, followed by a lucozade sport and a boost bar, without even walking the whippet. They're going to have a build a special turnstile for you to get through.
Post-match sorted
Based on today, I’m having to change my pre-match routine to turning up four hours before kick off so I don’t miss kick off. All jokes aside, what a day, what a fight back, what a performance, don’t want to moan at all because the good outweighs the bad, but Jesus Christ. Getting into that ground is an absolute shambles.

I got there for 4. Sailed in. Pint in under 3 minutes. There’s a lot to be said for a half empty block 29.
Can confirm this worked a treat. Few teething problems with the Tavern but nothing major, will definitely be repeating throughout the seasonWill be making a new one today starting at the Tavern at 12. Few in there then the shuttle to Dhillon’s. If all runs smoothly it’ll be that on repeat for a season.
Hopefully only have to squeeze in a visit to the ticket office to get a replacement ticket today though…
Nothing too strange here. I usually just asphyxiate myself with my CCFC scarf which I hang off my office door, wearing my Leon Best ”Zorro” mask, and masturbate to my A3 print copy of the “Robins is our king” banner.
Awaiting on Gregg's.Looking forward to getting back in the routine myself. Please share yours, the weirder the better. There are some true freaks on here so I'm expecting some interesting stuff...
there's always a stroll along the canal towpath??
Dug this thread out as I am looking for inspiration for tomorrow. My usual routine of Greyhound - Ale - walk down the canal is off as those I usually go with can’t attend tomorrow.
So I’ve somehow persuaded my partner to take the spare ST, and wanted to do something a bit different and make a proper afternoon/evening of it (we have a babysitter for a good few hours!).
Any ideas that also need to pass a non-footballing, non beer drinking, picky (in that stereotypical sense) partners standards?!
Byatts is an option as good ale (for me) and wine/nice environment usually. Then potentially one in the ground as don’t usually do that - is Purity one before games?
Anywhere else worth looking at?
Pretty sure she wouldn’t be up for this unfortunately:
