Because it's all very simple. In my business we treat our customers with respect and not like pieces of shit. If a customer wants an account we arrange subject to usual commercial deal. If they wish to pay by credit card, we accommodate. If they wish to pay by cash, that's fine as well.
If somebody wants to make a decision at 6pm to go to a football match they should be accommodated.
It's just incompetent and arrogant that they should treat there customers in the way they do.
They pay these people on the turnstiles a minimum wage, so should be very simple to recover the cost.
In business, like life, you reap what you sow.
Maybe they are trying to put what to them may appear "ditherers" off so they can whittle the gates down to just the real hard core regulars?
Then if/when they need to find/plan to build an alternative venue they can have a better guess at capacity required. 25% of that left to such "ditherers" who will have to pay, who knows, double on the rate on the day?!

Completely agree.

You and I could be up front and be having more impact by the sounds of it.

Don't laugh, Cyrille Regis joined the CWR commentary team at half time and Linnell suggested he and Benno (with his bad leg) get on the pitch.

Had I gone tonight, it would've been a 100 mile detour between stops oop North on business. By the sounds of it, I've made the right choice to get to my hotel room and order and massive steak to eat whilst looking out from the 22nd floor room. Big congrats to those who made it tonight...hope we salvage something from this (as I have a lot of Pompey supporting mates as well...including the father in law)

If it wasn't so sad, it would be funny
I cannot believe the arrogance of these people. Ticketmaster or no Ticketmaster, if a fan turns up at 7.30pm with £20 in his pocket have a system in place to take his/her money and enable them to get to see the ko
When I was a kid going to Highfield Rd in the 70s thousands turned up at 2.40, and we all got into the West End.

Is it you Grendel?

No. It's a guy who sits at the front of the row the press box is. He has a bobble hat and a teddy bear and shouts "come on!" all the time. He's a bit disabled I think
