Ditto OSB, I know that you come at this fairly and if we differ it's in the right spirit. Your question is better than mine, indisputably. :)

I think that there's every possibility that the mediation is just another SISU smokescreen. I absolutely accept that, I guess what I want is for the other parties to highlight it by joining in rather than giving them more excuses. If there's a one-in-a-million chance that it isn't complete rubbish though, then who knows where it might get us. I live in hope OSB, though apparently it's the hope that kills us!

You've obviously never dealt with an arsehole attention seeking kid.

What Sisu want is to waste everyone's time and avoid too many fans blaming them. Entering into these pointless exercises, be it negotiations, stadium forums, trust Q&A sessions or mediation on non specific topics, plays right into their hands. It doesn't call their bluff. The way to call a bullshitting time wasters bluff is to demand they actually produce something of worth before you take them seriously.

Your argument is akin to saying "I know this pigeon can't play chess and will just knock all the pieces over, shit on the board and pretend he won. But he'll look really stupid when he can't counter my classic Zurich gambit."

It amazes me how many people are suddenly of the opinion the relationship between the football club and Wasps, CCC etc is so healthy that there is no need to involve an independent third party to get things moving forward.

Obviously we're much better sitting here doing nothing, complaining about SISU, with everyone refusing to talk. That will certainly help move things forward.

Yes, but the only dispute that affects CCFC is SISU v CCC. The only mediation that is needed is Joy and CCC. That has not been asked for as I understand it. If Joy and CCC do a swap - drop JR2 and CCC will bend over backwards to help Tim and his investors together with CRFC as head lease owners, then we can all move on. But Joy won't negotiate. End of story.

Sounds like blackmail to me
Well one party is excellent at that.
Come on G, Sisu do as we say and our way or we go to court.
They are no fucking differant just took on someone bigger than them this time, I'm sure it has hurt her pride.

In my limited knowledge.
As long as the assets are more than the liabilities that's okay.
On paper Wasps (thanks to Ricoh asset value) appear to be in a positive.
You know about CCFC.
All well and good when your business is generating enough cash to keep the bills paid and to cover debt repayments...

What ever Joy wants in return for dropping JR2 it isn't CCC paving the way for the fantasy that is Tim's investors waltzing in to fund the redevelopment of the BPA.

Don't see what's wrong with requesting the Trust support calls for mediation.
And hold any talks in a pub. Then it will be easy to ask the right questions and get the answers needed.

Any idea what it is?

I can't help but feel that they're shooting in the dark hoping to find a way out with some hedge fund we batter people in court reputation in tact.

From what I can find on line it would be truer to say that they use the courts to batter people. Tie them up in litigation until they surrender. They don't know what else to do because this is what they do. There doesn't actually seem to be that many cases of them being in court. It doesn't seem to get that far. The only other case that I can see that got that far although she got her investment back it wasn't the outcome that she wanted and she was quoted as saying so after the event. And there's her problem. CCC are willing to fight all the way and thus far that has paid of for them. Will the same go for JR2? The councils stance seems to suggest so. If not surely they'd be willing if not breathing a sigh of relief at the prospect of mediation rather than litigation. I find it hard to believe that the council hadn't foreseen JR2 coming when they sold the Ricoh. I would be very surprised if they didn't do due diligence on it before the sale and I also wouldn't be surprised if it was one of the things that were discussed during the behind doors council meeting to approve the sale. What is it they say about doing the same things expecting different results?

This is a known process though isn't it, and I don't mean mediation. This scenario has been played out before with exactly the same response as the CCC has shown to date. Only thing that is different is that there is an MP under instructions from the Sports Minister to make an effort. He must realise by now that it is like trying to shovel water. I am sure he would have preferred things not to be so public as it entrenches views further

In the back ground to the Council will be a legal department advising CCC not to say or do anything now the JR2 is running as it could prejudice their case and so silence is the advised policy. It is exactly what happened when mediation was suggested with previous SISU vs CCC legal actions happened and a similar campaign started.

So the campaign driven by CCFC associated media outlet can achieve what in resolving this? I have asked several times now what is in dispute? No use demanding talks if we don't actually know what to resolve. Surely it was reasonably certain how this would play again, given the scenario is not new, or is that the point of the campaign

It will only happen in my opinion if both sides are prepared to give up something major. CCC could easily go some way on the Fisher demands, but will SISU give up the legal cases ? I do not see it personally there is too much money at stake. From what I can make out the only actual dispute is the JR2. There is nothing else being disputed at this time is there? For peace to break out on all sides then both sides have to compromise not just CCC.

Because this is nothing new with an expected response then that is why I have no faith in the mediation process and question the clamour stirred up around it

This is of course where CCC step in and prove me wrong

This mediation process didn't just start btw, my understanding is that fact finding talks started weeks ago. The actual business of mediation has not actually commenced. So why the sudden hysteria to demand mediation ? What happened to change the situation or what is not being seen?

The season is coming to an end and these matters have to resolved or else 2018/19 is going to be impossible to complete.

The clock is now ticking for CCFC and their business is looking a complete mess. Everything they touch - without the amazing exception of getting to Wembley ( how on earth did we get there? ) - seems to end in disaster.

They have no option but to go for "peace and reconciliation". But, Joy is not necessarily on the same side as Tim. She wants to get something back though her JR2. If Tim can sort the problems, then she has increased the value of CCFC and got a saleable item. She could drop the JR2 to obtain that situation, or if he cannot, then she keeps on with her war of attrition, hoping the council will eventually go for some compromise.

I think the council holding out may be the best for CCFC as Joy is the real stumbling block not Tim.

Don't give in to her attrition- a bit like JS is saying he won't deal with SISU, but will consider CCFC and Wasps not dealing with CCFC whilst the JR2 is there.

The ball is in Joy's court and she has to be involved in any mediation. Until she accepts that, there is no point going ahead. She may have to drop the JR to at least get something back from CCFC.

had that feeling for a long time. They know they have messed up spectacularly and don't have a viable or affordable exit strategy.

You know what, Wasps, CCC won't be making any commitments till the situation with season ticket sales next year has become clear.
If they are really bad (as looks very likely) then SISU may be forced to alter their approach or if not fund further losses while JR2 proceeds.
