I assumed so too, but, let's face it, it's hard to be sure. That moment proved that the fans' enmity towards JS and TF hasn't gone away, but to be fair they deserve a bit of slack for appointing MR and Boddy, providing the budget and then lettibg the experts crack on with it. If we're gonna slag them off when we struggle they deserve a break when we do well.

Fair's fair Pete, they've given MR the budget and slack to suceed this season and carried on funding the academy, what more do you want?

We’re self funding. They’ll cover loses if there are any but they haven’t invested anything to give MR a budget or support the academy. The budget is based on what we put in, transfer fees, prize money and in the case of the academy a grant from the FL in part. The success that’s happened this season is down to MR, the coaching staff, the players and us. I’ll give you Boddy though. There’s been a marked improvement since he’s arrived in marketing and connecting with the fans.

The manager and players deserve credit for forging a spirit and an amount of success despite the toxic atomosphere engendered by the board. The manager and players deserve a day in the sun for doing their best, and giving us a great day to be a city fan. The board deserve brickbats and hatred for dragging us down to a level where our lowest ever league finish is seen as success.

Is that arms or legs?

That's not very nice ;). I'm prepared to give them today without slagging them off given the result and our promotion.

We could just not mention him or SISU. Why let bad things bring down a good day?

I've had a fair few but thought I hadn't mentioned anyone by name?

Sisu had to put money in this year didn’t they? Also Exeter are self funded aren’t they?

Correct, we are loss making and thus Sisu have had to plough in funds, £500k P/A was the estimate i heard most recently. Fisher wheels out the 'self funding / break even' line when it suits him but the reality is we continue to leak money. Perhaps today's gate will plug some holes in tbe accounts.

Was it to invest in the team or was it like I said to cover loses? Not sure on the relevance of your Exeter question.

It was to continue to fund the club. Several players and the manager have said its time for fans to build bridges and show this support in the league.

Exeter is what you get with a fan owned club. They sold £5 million of players last season and bought nobody. I suspect that wouldn’t go down well here

Last season? More like during the last few seasons IIRC. And what have we sold during the last few seasons including two strikers that were scoring for fun when the window opened mid season.

So like I said then. Cover loses. Thank you for confirming I’m correct. Not sure it was worth your effort though. And on that note I’m out. There’s a gazillion more things I’d rather discuss tonight.

Covering losses means avoided player sales Tony

On the latter point you are quite right. I hate the blind unthinking faith in fan ownership at CCFC, when there is nothibg to suggest it wouldn't be a disaster. Hopeless daydreaming at its worse.

But you are out order on point 1. There will be no bridgebuilding between fans and Sisu. They took the club to Northampton and gained us a 20 point deduction through their actions. Simply unforgivable.

No they sold players to Brentford and Chelsea in 2017 for those amounts apparently

Who and how much?

If you’ve recorded the game watch the end on sky. They have several in the crowd together and the combined value is shown - one is Kanus son I think.
