Southampton tickets (1 Viewer)

Tbh the uproar over the SC allocation is nothing compared with home season ticket holders getting 2 tickets which will be far more than 5%. They can take anyone who hasn't travelled or been to any game. Is that fair? One per STH would have been more than enough for all those STH who wanted to go yet they seem to be getting a free pass (fwiw we've not taken our 6 tickets).

it is actually their highest ever attendance
Hadn't realised that ( 32,363 (Southampton v Coventry City, 28 April 2012) ) so we could be 1 & 2 after this.

The away ticket thing should have been done from the first game of the season. I do in the region of 10-15 away games a season, so wouldn't mind missing out if someone goes to every game like. Only issue we have is that most games have been multiple tickets for each season ticket, so our away tickets have only been allocated to one season ticket for most of the season.

Well said. I think most people just want a fair crack at getting tickets. That isn’t the
case at the moment.

Whilst I’m on the computer for work, there’s many out there that don’t get the luxury of whizzing on the computer or going to the ticket office - due to work commitments. A points system at least stops the initial total stampede and works through allocations on attendance history rather than computer access or being mates with David Boddy.

Do all supporters club's get an allocation or is it just Leamington & Warwick?

A points system would be a good idea and think it's used by other clubs. There would probably be costs to running it though. 2 per season ticket holder is a mistake in this instance as gives non-season ticket holder a route over season ticket holders. Restricting to 1 per season ticket holder would have been better for this game.

Season ticket holders should always be a priority, irrespective of whether they go to away games or not.
I've been a season ticket holder since 1975 for all but 1980-3 and the time at Northants, Brum and this season.
I'm not entitled to any ticket for any past loyalty because it counts for nothing so, quite rightly , I can fuck off .
If though, we had away season tickets available, that might make things different . I'm assuming we don't. Perhaps in the future, if there was sufficient demand, the club might consider it.

Yep spot on. The main bones of contention I have seen raised concern the fact season ticket holders get effectively a +1 they can give to anyone and that there is a small number of ST Holders that are guaranteed tickets, through private supporter's clubs.

There's a hell of a lot of winding up going on on FB and some people are believing people that haven't been to a game in decades could buy 30 at a time.

I think the mistake this time was 2 per ST holder. I suspect the club didn't predict quite the demand (it's hardly Liverpool or Man U away, no disrespect to Southampton).

Suspect we've probably got 500-1000 people who've come off the back of being mates with a ST.

We in the in the London supporters club have to be a STH if the allocation looks like its going to be a sell out.

Assume that's the same for L&W, have to be a season ticket holder except where like this game multiple per STH then maybe can pool allocation.

All, but you wouldnt think so to read the posts here or on facebook etc. In fact they take a lot less than the others.

Absolutely. I misjudged the mood (based on the 'meh' reactions to the draw on here) and didn't expect the whole allocation to go so early.

It's a bit annoying that there will almost certainly be people there for their first awayday of the season, but hey ho.

See some of you at the Riverside on Saturday.

While I could say ‘sorry kids, sir needs to buy Cup tickets’ I don’t think it would fly with SMT

You need to up your classroom escape list.

1. I need to ring a parent regarding...
2. I've received documentation from the health service regarding a referral.
3. I need time to plan something etc.

i will be one of those “annoying “ people but I’m not apologetic over it. I’m a STH and every home game involves a 190 mile round trips for Southampton

I will be one of those “annoying “ people but I’m not apologetic about it. I’m a STH and every home game involves a 190 mile round trip and St Mary’s is actually easier to get to than the CBS for me. Cardiff on Boxing Day would have been 1st trip but was postponed unfortunately. I wanted to go to Bournemouth and QPR but couldn’t get a ticket, ces’t la vie.

Biggest thing for me is that I have always thought that STHs should only get one ticket each, which seems to have contributed to the issue now.

We have 4 season ticket holders in our group but we only got the 2 we wanted had people ask but said no.
If they dont have a st should be at the back of the queue. IMHO.

I think I called it a big mistake 2 per season ticket holder as soon as ticket details were announced. Today just proves it. Hopefully lessons learned.

As only a lowly match package holder who goes to every game apart from a few non midweek games due to work, and most Saturday away games I accepted I was at the back of the queue. I went to the Derby game and I just hope all the STH users who managed to get tickets did too if they were able to go.

On a positive note what a great away following we have. Does anyone know if the game will be streamed online?

There will be a few more games where the away allocation is crap. Reading give around 1500 and I think Fulham less than 1000.

Reading give up to 4.3K if required. Fulham is capped due to ground being redeveloped but still think it’s around 2K. Blues & WBA will be tricky as small allocation for local matches.

My Nottingham family tell me that Forest away end is limited to 2000
