I feel a bit sorry for JWE but he’s just not up to it - if palmer isn’t out we need to play godden

I don't think Robins ever had plans for JWE to play up front, that must have been a last second change. Could be that he couldn't trust Godden to last a full 45 mins just yet. JWE certainly looked better when he dropped back to his regular WB role.

Callum Doyle had his slow-mo pills this morning. ........ JWE was too far off it.

Sunderland forum had Doyle down as our weak link and they should just run at him constantly. Yet I don't remember Doyle being put under any undue pressure. And JWE was brought on out of position, he's probably never played as forward or attacking midfielder. He was a fair bit better when Bidwell went off and he returned to his WB role.

Tbf I saw it the same as them then, I did think during the game he was a weak link.

Just had a look on their forum. They have some sensible posters who appear to be drowned out by morons. Apparently Gyo is bang average and has a shit first touch and Steward is better then him

If Rose is fit I expect to see he will get some more game time

That’s not true is it? One said that and pretty much everyone else said he’s the best striker on the pitch and if they had him they’d have won.

Which is correct

I don't think I've ever seen Robins so animated as he was for our first goal when it went in. Great to see.

Why on earth was Palmer allowed to come back on possibly making his hamstring worse?

Jamie Allen sticking the boot in his critics.

We conceded a poor goal at the end. He should have been stopped before he crossed the ball.

Finally, Gyok needs a bit of slack when he misses. The fact he creates so many chances is brilliant for us.

And we beat Sunderland. Today is a good day.

Still pretty annoyed the trainers let Palmer back on when he was clearly injured. Figures crossed he hasn't done more damage
To be fair, he’s jogged 20 yards and stayed on an extra 10 seconds. Don’t think it’s going to do much that hadn’t already happened.

Will also say Sunderland a very good side who should remain in contention. A pity that the prick O'Nien is still there but a well polished team anyway.

Pretty funny that Sunderland fas thinks we are a shithousery team. Make a change from being shithoused week in week out.

Funny old game.

Agreed with Robins completely, they were a good side but they've spent a lot of money and have players on loan from top clubs.

Laughable hearing Sunderland fans blaming the referee considering their centre halves spent 90 minutes desperate for a limited edition, match worn Viktor Gyökeres shirt and some very strange decisions against us.

Fair play to Allen continuing to contribute with goals.

Absolutely love McNally. Should be throwing money at him in the summer.

Imagine if Gyökeres was more clinical. Imagine.

I actually thought BNC was very good today

gus vision for second goal outstanding

Same.

He's nowhere near good enough for Arsenal and will unlikely be getting much interest from sides above us. I believe his contract is up at the end of this season with Arsenal. With him settling in for us, we should be looking at signing him as we did with the likes of O'Hare and Sheaf at the end of their loans.

Id take him. Plenty there to work with.

BNC makes some good forward runs, and defends well at times. But weirdly he sometimes looks too knackered to get close enough to his man, even near the start of the game. There’s obviously potential, but maybe he needs a tough pre-season or something to bring out the best in him?
