We know that Robins wants 2 more strikers …. But who ? I don’t consider the Romanian to be a striker, advanced midfielder / number 10 but not a striker. The United lad is a wide player not a striker.

If it was Sharp he would be here by now.

Gallagher rumour dismissed
Other rumoured players dismissed or moved elsewhere ….
Cameron Archer would be ideal, could be holding out to see if Villa will let him come to us.

Undav going to be available...

'Speaking after the 2-1 defeat that rounded off the Seagulls' Premier League Summer Series in the United States, the Italian said: "Danny [Welbeck] is in fantastic physical condition. In the striker positions I have three players.

"We will see what happens for Undav in the coming days in the transfer market, but Joao Pedro, Welbeck and [Evan] Ferguson are enough."'

He’s meant to be going to Stuttgart.

According to Alan Nixon (!) Tom Cannon will leave Everton for the season if, and only if, someone is willing to pay a £1m loan fee.

Fans of Sunderland, Preston, Stoke Birmingham and Sheffield Weds all seem to think they’re on the verge of signing him

He’s also saying McNally is off to Stoke.

The idea that Stoke came to the CBS, thrashed us 4-0 and then decided *from that game* that the players they wanted to add to their squad were Michael Rose and Like McNally beggars belief.

FFS. Burnley let McNally go on loan to Stoke, but not Cov, what's that all about?

Don't tell me money 💰

We probably don’t want to loan him again because it’s about time we bought our own players.

It’s a hunch I have that there will be provisions to sign Binks on a permanent.

Is Binks better than McNally ?

Id happily still take Humphries on loan

Move Thomas to the centre slowly phase Fadz out

Fadz CB
Thomas CB RCB
Latibeuadiere RCB
Binks LCB
Humphries LCB

Would mean 2 loans at LCB again but i have a feeling Binks is going to be made perm if he does well

All seriousness though expect to see a striker in this week at bare minimum

That's not even any attempt at ITK its just glaringly obvious surely?

Yes because the season only lasts one game doesn’t it?

We don’t want to pay any loan fees and would rather put that towards the transfer fee.
I think we want to invest in our own assets rather than lining the pockets of the premier league clubs whilst also developing their assets.

That said we will have a mic again this window I’m sure but with a greater balance towards owning our own players.

I’m sure it was not lost on King that having 5 players on loan and playing 4 of them regularly meant we started this summer having lost half the team and with little to build on.

Could not possibly be more wrong.

The defence that got us to the play offs had two loanees in the centre plus another at wing back. We can never afford, even now a player of Doyle's quality. Loans bring skill levels that are beyond the usual acquisition routes. O'Hare, Sheaf were both loanees originally, as would have been McNally if we recruited him. Try before you buy.

Prem clubs have hoovered up all the talent, one reason why our youth programme has delivered so little in recent years

Best to make use of their need to utilize it all those players.

Can't think how many times in the last few years I have felt the need to reply to the imbecilic call to not use loans.

I note in both Andy Turner's articles today he mentions that Robins in hoping for three new additions before the weekend. In another he uses the word imminent. Would lead me to believe these three are all close.
