Thanks to the poster who PM'd me with 'statue' idea - don't know if you want to be named publicly to get proper credit so just PM if you do.

And for the those who are interested, a reminder that the 'Keep Coventry in Coventry - NOT ONE PENNY MORE!' event is tomorrow (Saturday 29 June) 12 noon by the Jimmy Hill statue at the Ricoh. A 'statue' of Joy Seppala will be unveiled and the theme will be comparing Jimmy Hill's achievements with the proposal to move CCFC out of Coventry - a light hearted way of conveying the very serious message of Keeping Coventry in Coventry. All welcome!

This is cringe central, a fake statue, f*ck sake.

It's undermining the whole cause.

Good luck lads and lassies. Every little bit of bad press SISU gets works against them on many levels. Keep up the good work. All the best from the Bournemouth Sky Blues. PUSB SISU OUT

Sky Sports News say they're sending a film crew for unveiling of JS 'statue' event! 12 noon at Ricoh, Saturday 29.6.13

A huge publicity coup...

I do hope you are, afterwards, proposing to ceremonially burn the monstrosity.

Failing that, just burn the statue.

I think it highlights the contempt that both Mr Fisher who made the comment and Joy who we have never seen, have for the fans.

Joy an owner who is in the verge of making the single most impactive decision an owner has ever made in the history of Coventry City Football Club, yet has never met a fan.

Mr Fisher who is fully aware of the above and the feelings of the average fan, suggests we build a statue of her in honour.

'Contempt'

Good point, Don. If there are any media interviews I might try and use it!

Weather forecast looking good, 'statue' is ready and Casino say anyone who wants a pre/post unveiling drink and watch Lions game is v welcome. Fingers crossed it's not just me and 'JS' there!

I wonder if the glaziers or the owners of man city have ever met a fan? Don't see why that is so important in truth.

I seem to reca the first was accused of exactly that and a new breakaway club formed as a consequence.

What a tossa.
Man Utd at least knew what there potential owners looked like and I think you will find they did meet with supporters groups.
Why not for once in your tiny life say well done to a small group who are trying to put our whole silly mess into the public eye, its a bit tounge in cheek and I for one wish them well.

So are you saying the anonymity would be relevant regardless? Even if the club had been promoted back to the Premier League?

The 1st part of his statement about her making the single most impactive decision in the club's history is what is significant here so makes the comparison with the Glaziers irrelevant I believe.

Norwich City have owners that deeply care about the club and are fans of the club. The fans know who Delia Smith and Michael Wynn-Jones are as they interact with the other fans at the club on a daily basis and make them feel part of the club. They are selling it bit by bit to their Supporters Trust at an affordable rate when ever the funds are available to them to further enhance the fan involvement.

Delia: "Yes it's my club but only as much as it's everyone elses'".

When they were in League One Norwich (pop 140,000) had sold out of season tickets (24000) by around February time.

We know nothing about Coventry City's owners. All we know is there's Tim Fisher and Mark Labovitch who are puppets that are controlled by Joy Sepalla who is a puppet that is controlled by Anton (unknown surname). Above the lowest level of puppets these people have never met a fan. If they had, how would the fan know? They don't give a stuff about the fans. Never have and never will.

Last season we (pop 317,000) sold 6000 season tickets.

Have we ever sold 24,000 season tickets?

Certainly not within the last 30 years, don't think even in the Premiership we ever sold many more than 10,000.

Chicken and egg though isn't it?

Norwich is the only team within a 40 mile radius and besides stealing luggage at train stations they have nothing else to do. Brighton have similar statistics and again (before Crawley) were the only League club for 50-60 miles.

No surprise that the forum's resident idiot should have confused our great goalie, Bill with the owners of Manure.
What an utter cuntish thing to do.
Meanwhile I once more applaud the gesture being made today, well done to all involved.

Strange, the last time I looked we are in the old Division 3 and the way we are going our next big move will be into Division 4

Ah you are back. Seem to lack the moral fibre to debate on here with me though don't you? Still think all fans who support the club are worms Dadgad. Nice to see Swiss supports you - he must think they are worms as well - or did you say scum I get mixed up.

Oh dear! What a sad individual you are. Since when did you "debate" Duffy? All you do is attack with moronic remarks and make "statements of facts" that you have no more idea about than the rest of us.
Pathetic and silly individual that you are, I still have not seen an admission that you were wrong about there being no-one out there except SISU.
I admitted I had been wrong about Robins; when are you going to admit you were wrong?
