What's your reasons then folks ? I can't make it on Friday which I'm gutted about but I'm literally buzzing for you all that's got tickets, it's been a bloody awfull time away from the Ricoh and with the fact it's on Sky and a lot of media attention on the game we can really start showing the footballing world what were all about, we get a decent result that night and get behind the team who knows what it could mean for jump starting our season !

I'll be watching on telly from afar (Norfolk actually) and cheering us on in the pub which I work,

Gutted, I am in Newcastle for the Great North Run. I have given my season ticket to a friend, so I expect to be in the good books for a while!

Regarding the result, I think we will either smash Gillingham or the occasion will get to the players and 0-1. What do you reckon?

The expense is simply too much for me.
Ferry: approx £80 return
Fuel: approx £50
Plus whatever the cost of a ticket. Just ain't worth all the hassle on a Friday night. Plus the fact that the Isle of Wight Bestival is on this weekend and the ferries are chokka-block with festival goers coming over. It would be a nightmare getting back home. :( I'll just have to watch it on TV somewhere.

I can't get tickets due to distance. Trying to get tickets for the disabled section anywhere, with carer, but no answer to my e-mails and phoning is a joke.

Gutted - and no sky to watch it on. No good at the local as Friday night is Super League night :(

Must confess that I've given up on trying to get tickets. I simply can't spend ages queuing up or on line when there's work to do. Looking at it calmly, I'm not too down about it, it's not as though I've seen much of them over the last year or so - and they'll be a hooky internet feed or two around no doubt, if I can't make it to the pub.

I am surprised at how difficult it's been to actually 'sell out' the ground - it seems that we're going to be 5,000 - 6,000 seats light, which is odd to me. But fair play to everyone who has bust a gut to get tickets, I hope you all have a great night. :)

I can't, working on Friday until at least fine so even if I got a totally clear run would miss a good chunk of the first half.

These days I have to limit my games, driving up from Pompey is around £40 a go, by the time I've paid for tickets, parking etc its not a cheap day out.

On the plus side when the wife finishes Uni we will hopefully be moving to Cov (or at worst Brum). The official line I've given is to be nearer my family but I think she knows that it's really so I can get a season ticket for the Ricoh and one for the Blaze as well.

At the moment I've got no ticket. My ST is reserved but been unable to buy online and the emails haven't been replied to. Just hoping it's sorted soon as I'm working Friday and can't queue.

Got mine this morning, but pitching up at busfest Malvern in morning, leaving the driveaway awning, then driving back with the wife and going back to the pitch in morning.
Hopefully all will still be there.

Dude, that's where I live! At the 3 counties I'm guessing?

Too much work on to leave early....I live 120+ miles north of the ricoh so would probably just about make the 2nd half even if I was lucky with the M6 Friday night nightmare.....

At least I've avoided all the ticket buying stress....I'll just stroll down my local boozer & ask the landlord to pop it on the big screen:)

....besides....the ricoh is shit;):whistle::eek:

I would love to be there but:

a) it's a bit of a journey from Melbourne, and
b) I have no current passport

:)

Would love to be there on Friday but due to residing 4,368-ish miles away it may be a bit much!
I don't work Friday's so will be at home hooking up my computer to the TV and watching with *cough* alternative sources.. :)

Working til just after 5pm Friday and back in work just after 5am Saturday. Would have tried to get someone to work for me but the ticket situatiin was looking bad. Then I got two offers of a ticket in the last couple of days when it is too late to get swaps at work :(

Which part of Cornwall Hill? Did Crantock to and from Cumbria in just over 6 hours twice in the last couple of weeks and the Midlands are half way.

Not sure where you live but If your season ticket is reserved just walk into the shop today give them your supporter reference and the ticket for Friday is £10.
2 in queue when I went down at dinnertime.
If you trust someone near they only need the supporter number and they can get it for you.

What always encourages me, is that when we get these big gates, be it Chelsea, Crewe or Friday, there are still countless fans who can't make it, underlining how big our fan base actually is. I could probably name more fans I know not going on Friday than those that are.

I have spoken to a couple of people who go occasionally and they are after 5 or 6 each for them and friends.
Still not been able to get them.

Just imagine the new 12,000 seater stadium during our push for the premiership.

So could I, for every game we play.

Yeah, and I am sure you will be quick to score points when we get the inevitable 11K against Yeovil.

The point is, that even when demand is massive, it probably still only a minority of our supporters trying to get tickets. It bodes well for when we finally start getting things right on the pitch. It has to happen some day surely?

It's hardly a fair game to assess is it? Its cheap to get in and its hyped up. Supporters will attend next week as well. Let's see how many suddenly superglue themselves to the armchair yet again.

Not everyone lives close to Coventry. Not everyone earns eleventy billion quid like someone we could name ;)

As an example of a game where 'demand is massive' it seems a perfectly good choice.

Demand is only massive due to price. Or should they have charged £25 for this one?

Not sure about £25 Grendel, but I don't think demand would reduce very much if tickets were a few quid more expensive.

If it was down to cost only many would watch it on the box.

So is our usual cost of tickets £25?

What has that got to do with anything? I simply said "The point is, that even when demand is massive, it probably still only a minority of our supporters trying to get tickets", the reason WHY demand is massive is not relevant.

But since we're on the subject, demand is high because it is the first game back. If Friday was full price and Yeovil was a tenner, the crowd for Gillingham would still be much higher.

It is £24 I believe.

Just bought my ticket for Gillingham. It took 77 seconds from entry to the shop to exit.
