    New ace team...new ace songs....?

Massive lack of new songs - apart from the obvious WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE, lol. I was gutted when Big Mo left, just cos he had a wicked song and it made Clive Eatkin nervous when it spilled through the radio commentary. I was gutted with Gary Breen leaving, he was number 1, 2 & 3, but of...

    Should wasps buy ccfc?

Don't make this confusing. Do you want the owners of the stadium to also own the football club so that we don't pay rent and we get much more of the revenue we create. Do you want someone other than Sisu in? Do you want the owners of a premiership rugby club to take on a shitty division one...

    Should wasps buy ccfc?

The second one, possibly leading to the first one. The third one is debatable but it's interesting to see what people think just in case the thought had crossed Wasp's minds.

    Should wasps buy ccfc?

That's not really the question. Would you swap the current rubbish owners of the club for the owners of a successful sports outfit who own the stadium we play at and have plenty of money behind them to invest in our shitty team and make a tidy profit in the process? Hmmm....

    Should wasps buy ccfc?

CCFC's existing debt is a mere fart in the wind when you consider the revenue a successfully run Coventry City football club alongside a popular Premiership rugby club might bring in collectively, especially when you already have ownership of the stadium as a financial prop. This could take us...

    Should wasps buy ccfc?

You have to look at options if anything is ever going to happen. Just sitting there moaning about it and being nihilistic isn't really very healthy and a bit more pointless. Why would Wasps take on a loss making football club? Because it would come cheap and the potential if it was ran right...

Would love to see that! :claping hands:

    Should wasps buy ccfc?

Agree with you mate but someone who spots that CCFC could potentially attract 30 000 fans, all paying upwards of £15 each per week, on top of matchday food, drinks, programmes, and merchandise. This club, for what it is and what potential it could have, would come CHEAP for what it is.

    Should wasps buy ccfc?

Yep - I agree with that, but Wasps have a lot of power now that CCFC are effectively they're tenants, so I'm sure they can be persuaded.

    Should wasps buy ccfc?

I would if I knew how to run a successful sports outfit like Wasps do. A Division 1 football club with potentially 30000 fans that's going bust and has already been in administration? The buy-in would be reasonably cheap but the potential would be high - especially if Wasps consider the amount...

    Should wasps buy ccfc?

Well, yes, they're a hedge fund and that was always the intention.

    Should wasps buy ccfc?

I agree, but they know how to run a successful sports outfit and how to buy a stadium!

    Should wasps buy ccfc?

I'd be surprised if this hasn't been brought up, but the company behind Wasps own the stadium, and regardless of what we think of that, there's no getting round it. Wouldn't it make financial sense all round for the company who own Wasps and the Ricoh to buy out Sisu, that way all of the revenue...

    Celebrate

Yeh, they're really jumping on the 'band' wagon with that one, badumdumtish. :) Saw them at the shepherd in Coundon, they do rock covers - pretty damn good!

    Celebrate

A band are playing at my local tonight, and they're all big Sky Blues supporters so I said I'd give them a plug on here. If you fancy getting together with a few of your own kind to celebrate coming home, they're playing at The New Spires in Coundon tonight from 8pm, and The Old Crown on Lentons...
