I can't help thinking that if Corbyn was the pm he'd be getting a lot of the blame for these attacks. It's absolutely tragic and thoughts and prayers for all those affected.

Those saying we need to do all we can, what is that? Armed police everywhere? Arrest anyone who there is any thought that they may think or speak against what? Civil society?

Anger is the correct response, as is grief and sadness and action. Hated, vengeance and violence will only bring more of the same

Darkness will never defeat darkness only light.

Unity, love, mutual respect and speaking up for what we stand for as a society is this light. We are for liberty for all people, we are for freedom for all people etc etc

wtf has corbyn got to do with this?

Unity and love achieves nothing. This country is soft and easy target. too many people too scared to speak the truth. All this under the name of allah.

To your thinking, Pete, just how much do you think religion forms part of these terrorists' thinking?

Not having a go, just wondering what your thoughts are. Would be interested to know.

I know some people say this has nothing to do with religion, but again last night these scum were shouting 'for Allah' as they were stabbing innocent people to death and of course they do believe they are going to be rewarded in some afterlife and go to paradise after their deaths.

Untiy, love, peace and whatever all sounds good but in terms of actual action what good that will do? Sounds like it means we do nothing and wait for the next attack.

You can't love terrorists into stopping attacks.

Simply surviving and prevention is no longer enough, we need action to eradicate this.

Police appealing for anyone with any photos/videos to hand them in to help with their investigation. I understand they can help the police but who takes images of something like this.
It's not right if you ask me.

Agree, but people do. Something I just can't get my head around.

First thought in my mind would be what could I do to help, or just to get out of there and get my family safe.

I read before that it is part of the shock process and that people behave different when they seem something like this. It's quite common for them to just stand and stare. I don't understand it myself, but luckily we haven't had to experience anything like this.

It will never be possible to stop it, needs to start by sacking off political correctness for people "known" to security services.

Lock them up in a hole in the ground and interrogate them for intel.

Then even if no crime is committed, anybody who is shown to have links or has expressed support for terrorist activities or has shared extremist views themselves in the past should be deported. Look at the Manchester attack, quite a few of his classmates have come out and said they had been worried about his extremist views and reported him.

Deported to where? A lot of them will be born in Britain

and look a what the chief constable of Greater Manchester police told May when she was home secretary and the ex chief constable of the MET told her when she was home secretary, things like this were bound to happen due to cuts in funding.
Not the time to get political or try point scoring so let's draw a line under it, listen to what the experts have got to say and give them the resources they need to do their job.

Just reas that Nicholas Wilson who is standing as an Independent candidate in Hastings and Rye started to discuss arms dealings with Saudi at a hustings last night and Amber Rudd demanded the microphone was taken off him.

It's a disgrace that this is even allowed that happen and those in power get away with having blood on their hands.
Sadly the majority don't even realise it goes on and questions aren't asked.

Have just seen a video of what happened in Hastings should be online today.

Was working right next to London Bridge. People were running everywhere panicking. Armed police were everywhere too. 10 mins after going back inside the guy came on the loudspeaker "EVACUATE, EVACUATE, EVACUATE". We were on our way out and the police turned up telling us that our building was now on lockdown and no one was allowed in or out. Finally been allowed to leave but only in ones and twos as they don't want any large groups. Must say I've had better nights.

Glad you stayed safe mate

We have, together with Trump, just sold the people behind the hard line version of the religion of peace billions of dollars of weapons.

How many people are going to die in places like Yemen and even in Saudi itself when these weapons are used?

The time has come to slam into all religions. Each one justifies the other. If we talk about christian values we confirm that there is an invisible being in the sky who tells us how we should live. How can we say Allah is bullshit and still say we are a Christian nation? His wishes are just as bullshit as Christ's.

No to faith schools and no to arm sales to countries pushing religious adendas.

Blair talked to god about Iraq, May is guided by religious beliefs. Cut religion out of politics and rule based on what is best for the people living on the planet - not following the rules of fictitious beings. And no pseudo reiligous dogma as a substitute as in North Korea.

you have to help yourself to a degree. Use common sense a bit asses risk and decide whether you want to take it. The top is off the bottle now, all about damage limitation now. You wouldn't get me in that shit hole London anymore for anything

What I do not understand, why the hoax bomb vests? Surely that is something which happens when you have a hostage situation or a robbery.

Here we go again waking up to hear about another terrorist incident. This will be the norm from now on as they say its just the start. How can it be stopped ? If minds are set on killing and destruction the answer sadly is not a lot.

Surely to stop people going up near them and trying to disarm them.

Big difference between going up and trying to grab a knife off someone, to someone you suspect having a suicide vest. Surely you would fear that upon approach they could just let it off and take you and everyone else around with them in a massive explosion.

That will never happen while our government actively prevents facts and investigations entering the public domain.

It is damage limitation but there has to be some response

Armed police is a must

The police have to be allowed a shoot to kill policy for people acting suspiciously

Immediate ban on immigration from certain countries

More importantly an immediate ban on visiting those countries and refusal of entry back into the U.K. If this is breached unless permission is given beforehand.

If there are 23,000 suspects then immediate passport withdrawal and a blanket travel ban for them and their immediate families.

Police don't want to shoot, there was a met documentary the other day and there is so much red tape, paper work, murder charges etc they really don't want to.

Which can be removed under a terrorism act. It should be done as soon as parliament is re-opened.

totally agree with the bit in bold. We opened the cage to let certain types go back to Syria and the like to do our dirty work.
That has to stop. Unless you work for the government, the military or an NGO I'm not sure what sane reason there can be for travelling to some of these countries.
