Fascinating and sad series. Been following it since 7up. Amazing social history record.
Made me think about my own experience of social mobility growing up in Cov. Pretty much all of my mates, family members, cousins etc had parents who had working class jobs (in factories mostly). Pretty much all of us kids ended up as professionals and became 'middle class' not necessarily the university route always but somehow we managed to move 'upwards'.

I don't believe in the concept of 'middle class' - it's a label designed to divide people.
