We had a real chance with 5 games to go and even had to play Bristol FFS. We blew it big time..and even had chances since then.

We deserve what we get and the players motivation should have been there in my eyes with or without the managers influence.

Agreed. Injuries have played a role to though. Over-stretched a gossamer-thin squad

Exactly. You make your own luck. Then again, we've had plenty of things like that happen during the season: insipid performances, leads thrown away and points thrown away in the dying minutes of injury time, missed penalties... it's just that after 7th April, we would be punished for it, period.

I got falsely excited too, but I think tbf it was a big ask and a step too far. Adrenalin, togetherness and confidence can take yo close but you require more to get you over the line. The fact is that we've not been good enough all season and have found ourselves in our rightful position. Even in this recent run when we hauled ourselves slightly clear was when other teams had their 'blip' and have since been able to step up where we had run out of steam. Sure we had only lost one in however many but stats can be read to prove a story in many ways and we have actually only won 2 in the last 11.

The trouble with the opening statement is that we the fans don't deserve what we are getting. The football club deserve what they are getting. Unfortunately as much as people say we should stand united and that we are a part of the club. Unfortunately we are not, we are mere bystanders watching the owners, players, managers and back room staff go about their daily business.

Facts are we have only won 9 games all season and totally deserve to go down. We were never going to win 5 out of 6 home games or indeed our last 4 home games as was suggested. Sky Blue tinted glass thinking unfortunately.

Bristol deserve to stay up after the run they have been on.

It's open knowledge that Clingan and Cranie have been negotiating with other clubs over the past few weeks. Probably more of the squad are doing the same. So is it any wonder that the players are not giving 100%?

You can argue that workers should give 100% whatever the circumstances but that is not living in the real world. Ultimately - yet again - SISU are to blame for not considering (or caring) about how their policies affect the team's performance.
