A petition to ACL ? (1 Viewer)

Should we petition ACL now to do a deal with SISU that will keep CCFC Ltd at the Ricoh ?

Makes sense to me that if there is a deal, and CCFC Ltd stays at the Ricoh, the more likely it is that SISU will sell.

Just a thought,not an opinion.

It's a good thought. The problem is many on here believe ACL should kick the out of Coventry.

Agreed. Pressure needs to be put on both SISU and ACL to deal with each other.

At the moment ACL pretty much know that the majority of fans blame SISU and SISU only for the situation, so they're quite content releasing sycophantic statements talking about their concern for the fans and determination to do the best thing for the club. They're safe in the knowledge that fan pressure will come down on SISU, so the incentive to negotiate is lessened.

All I want is the two parties to talk about a deal. Shouldn't really be too much to ask.

Agree with Sutty -can common sense prevail which it has not so far. ACL will receive their debt in full I understand from the offer made to the administrator, last January that could have been a smaller amount and not to mention the fees incurred.
Paul Appleton last job to mediate between the two groups!!

I have emailed ACL urging them to do a deal with SISU - pointing out their published concerns for us, the supporters and the 13,000 plus petition ! Anyone want to do the same ?

We should pressure both sides into coming to an agreement.

We need to petition both ACL and Sisu to come to some agreement.

Agreed Otis -- common sense must now prevail. Even a short term agreement allowing the dust to settle and for BOTH sides to reach a deal acceptable to both made over a period of time. I genuinely believe SISU would sell if a deal was in place.

You will just get a generic response telling you ACL have not kicked the club out of the Ricoh and they want to keep the club there. Problem is they want to keep the club there on terms that SISU don't believe the club could be sustainable on long term.

Agree with this 100%.
At the forums I stood up and asked him (Fisher)if he would talk to ACL, although he never gave an answer he would be silly not to.
We as fans need to put pressure on both sides to talk, but I personally feel that it should not be TF from the SISU side in the talks.

This could be true, but why would hey want to keep us?
They are in the business of making money, this will cost them a fortune, if they sell now they can ate a little, in a few months it would be worth even led.
Does not make any sense NOT to sell.

If they wanted to sell by now they would of.if haskell had the money he said he has than he could by the ricoh and the club.quite easily.it depended on how much he was willing to spend.obviously now otium will be spending money on strengthening the squad. Watch the fans come back once the season starts.

They can't spend on strengthening the squad, we have to meet FFP (yes there are ways around it). Fisher reckoned we had a wage bill of about £4.5m last season, even if we're at the Ricoh (turnover ~£6m) we can only spend a combined £3.6m on wages, agents fees, and transfers.

Good point.but sisu have got everything they want so far.they managed to easily outbid haskell so money isn't the issue.just can't get my head round why they won't sell.went to the forum where fisher said they have a ten year plan...didn't say for what though :) sisu could buy the casino as g casino are looking to get out.that would put sisu's income up.they will have thought through every possibility . they've got what they want so far.

I am sure they would sell. In fact if they get ACL and the Ricoh I suspect they would sell very quickly. Ironic really..............

If I was ACL I would make an public offer to SISU along the lines of "We want Coventry City to play at the Ricoh Arena which is their rightful home. Please come and talk to us, we wish to have a reasonable discussion in good faith to come to an agreement to avoid the Sky Blues having to play outside of Coventry. Our door is open, we believe this matter should be resolved in a spirit of co-operation.

This puts the ball in SISU's court. If they refuse the offer, we will know SISU have a different agenda.
