Adoption of swansea approach to managers (1 Viewer)

Think we need try and adopt a similar approach to Swansea and create a philophy at the club so if one piece is removed you can just go and find a similar piece that can come in as an ideal fit and carry on.

Question is did Robins start such a system that can be carried on, and if so by whom?

Agreed, we need to get someone in who wants to play football, break with the traditional ways of 4-4-2.

If we appoint someone like Westley, from a tactics viewpoint, not a personal, it'd be a disaster and I for one, would lose hope, I'd still support CCFC, obviously, but I'd be so so disappointed.

Their manager (Roberto Martinez) managed to bring some continental style to it. Teams couldn't cope!

Id love for us to go and grab an unknown whos been really successful.......but clubs have done that before getting someone from abroad and they've failed in the English leagues.

Was it Portsmouth who signed some foreign dude? One of their many flaws in their recent history!

I swear I saw something yesterday that someone had said they'd been talking to someone fairly high up at the club. They'd said that Robins had been integrating this sort of thing, a top to bottom overhaul and that the news yesterday shocked them because of this long-term plan he'd had. I took from that that it was this sort of thing he was talking about. Maybe it is in place, or the beginnings of it anyway. In which case, keep away from Phil f*cking Brown!

Laudrup has done well in the Prem. maybe SISU can speak with the Swansea chairman for advice on recruiting managers. They've not done too badly recruiting from home, or abroad. Any club that has had 3 successful successive managers must be doing something right. Martinez replaced by Rodgers, replaced by Laudraup

It was actually kenny jackett who had started their turnaround and started to put the Swansea blueprint together.

Swansea success has been that they have brought in replacement managers who fit in with that footballing ideology (Martinez, Sousa, Rodgers, laudrup) and improved on that framework.

Our problem is we bring in managers with different footballing styles time and again.
