Remember the Wimbledon team ? Not much skill but they fought, had guts, played with pasion, yes and roughed it up a bit, never gave up, showed determination. That's what seems to be missing from Sky Blues -- bring back George Curtis !!!

George was probably the best centre half we ever had. He wasn't called stopper for nothing. He did however have players of enormous skill around him which some one say have never been replaced. Ronnie Rees, Will Humphrey, George Hudson, Ian Gibson and many more. Yes we were hard at the back but boy we were entertaining and we were winners. Bring back Jimmy Hill might be more appropriate.

Absolutely !!! Stopper George was an inspiration ! We were winners because "We fought till the game was won" -- we were hard at the back. If we had that pasion today we would be near to the play offs regardless. Not world beaters, but fighters.

Very difficult to be 'fighters' like the old days, when two footed tackles and tackles from behind were legit, and you'd need to commit gbh to get sent off.

It's not so much the aggression of a stopper, but who is the leader in our team. Who is the spark that can make something happen. Last season it was Marlon, few back it was Little Sheff. Going back to further Terry Yorath, Ian Wallace, Ian Gibson, Dion, Huckerby, Tommy Hutch... we just don't have anyone like those type of players. This is what is missing. You look round the pitch and think so and so is playing we have chance, we just don't have that in our side any more. If only we had a George Curtis or any of the other mentioned

Unfortunately you are not going to get that from David Bell and Gary McSheffrey and I dare say Sammy Clingan, Chris Hussey and Martin Cranie too. Players who embody that spirit are James McPake, Richard Wood, Jukebox and Richard Keogh and .... errr ...... errr ....

We don't have enough of them at the club is the answer.

Clingan is our leader and he showed why saturday. Best game I've seen off him this season and we need that to continue.

Gael showed plenty of that fighting spirit last week and look what happened.

It's simple and has been said on here many times-leaders cost money. We don't have any money, and if we did it would just go to SISU.
