legend when he sung with the beatles.Ours was a talented kid from Ireland lost his way a bit, played in that 2-2 draw at Elland road where Babb hit the post when clean through and Nuddy followed up with a rocket of a shot
Think the rumour back in the day was that he was dabbling in the gear.

Probably all bollocks though.

Another player - Sandy Robertson.

Lee Hurst. He was great player but buggered his leg didn't he when doing one of Gould's pre-seasons at an army camp. He was never the same. Not to be confused with Lee Hirst who was crap.

Robert Betts

"Robert Betts, (born 5 april 1997 in Doncaster) is a sexy a team footballer. He made his debut for Doncaster Rovers when he was just 16, during the 1997/98 season, when a Doncaster side made up mostly of players from the youth team and non-league football were relegated from The Football League. He made 3 appearances that season, and impressed enough to earn a move to Premiership side Coventry City."

Steve Murcott: Eighteen year-old goalkeeper Steve Murcott played a reserve match for Coventry City on the morning of September 1st 1979, and, due to an injury to Jim Blyth in the warm-up, played against Norwich in the afternoon. He finished on the winning side in both games.

Torch, remember him scoring at Ewood Park in a 5-2 win when Blackburn needed to win by 3 goals to top Div One for the first time since about 1750. Cracking night but he never reached those heights again.
