Actually the other day before the Tranmere game and with all the snow and ice I went into the club shop on the look out for one of those big thick Sky Blue and white bar scarves, Sky Blue and the darker blue would have done....................did they have any?? Not a chance !!! They need to re stock at the most appropriate times, now would be one of them but I suspect its not been done??

Someone asked for one of them when I was in the shop the woman said they wouldn't get any more of them ones in

Ok here's my idea. I'd love to see every fan bring along an old CCFC scarf next week. Imagine the sight, every time the sky blue song starts up you hold them aloft like the Celtic and Liverpool fans do with their anthems and belt the old tune out like never before. Tell your mates, your Mums and Dads. Post it to Facebook, post it to Twitter. Bring your old scarfs and show your pride. We might just win and the sight might just tempt more fans to have a bit more of the sky blue experience. You know you want to<img src="http://www.skybluestalk.co.uk/images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif" border="0" alt="" title="" smilieid="1" class="inlineimg" /> PUSB

My child minder got me a Coventry - Pride of the Midlands scarf for my 7th birthday in 1996, and I have taken it to every game I've been to since

She was a Villa fan - bet she wish she had kept it!

And TheSkyIsBlue - good luck going going outside for the first time in 26 years ;)

I'm in great idea, we should keep this up for all games though and not just a one off. Make it OUR thing.

Email received from Dan Walker at CCFC, the club are in support and will promote the idea. Response copied below.

We think it’s a great idea and are happy to help promote it. Anything to encourage a great atmosphere at the game. We want everyone to come in Sky Blue and if everyone is waving scarves too it’s only going to add to the occasion.

We’ll certainly give it a push, we’ve retweeted a story about it already, and we’ll continue to promote on social media.

It’s nice that the idea has come from fans too, hopefully it’ll take a life of its own now and continue to grow.

Thanks

The only bit that I've tried to get clarified is that the plan is to hold up the scarves as one every time the sky blue song is sung rather than just manically waving scarves for no real reason. For me it has to be associated with the sky blue song to have the real effect.

Wear sky blue, mmm, not sure how many folks have a coat that colour. Are you suggesting we are out on a February evening without a coat?
;)
Think I can manage the scarf as I have about 20 + about 10 hats.
Maybe I can pin the scarves over my coat ;)

Going down well on twitter

Lets get scarves balloons banners flags hats t shirts, just be a sea of sky blue, lets inspire the next generation of cov fans and persuade them back for the next game

That's something that will naturally happen if scarves are there anyway.

The Club could make a small fortune, from selling better designed scarves and getting a load of the big flags printed up ( the ones they use when the players come out) to the small hand ones the the kids could be waveing about. A small out lay but megga bucks could be made instead of some unoffical seller pocketing the dosh
