I assume its due to them being that age when Oxford would have been playing in the conference and Div 3 as kids. So would support a Prem team at school.
Also seams a few people on my Facebook who only mention being an Oxford fan when they go to wembley.
I used to live in Cambridge and can back up this claim with that team too.
I knew a lot of Cambridge fans that would attend their games regularly (they were in the conference at the time), but would also support Man Utd and go to Old Trafford often as well.
